You want to hear whining? My complaint is that with all this warm weather I'm getting thirsty and the Parks Department turns off its waterfountains for the winter no matter the temperature.

It's supposed to be 65 in Boston on Saturday! They say it's just El Nino but I'm worried that I won't get to ski this year. Oh well, might as well make the most of it, shorts tomorrow it is.

Pretty hard to top that. Here in Colorado it's been two months since I was able to go shirtless and, of course, our recent weather is pretty well known from the national news.

High 40's (seasonable) for today, but still there's deep snow on most of the trails. More cold on the way for later this week with highs in the teens and 20s. From what the experts around here say it seems to be El Nino.

The airport is open in Denver and you are all more than welcome to come enjoy some REAL winter weather!

Let me remind you all, however... it's only January so enjoy it while you can. I have a feeling you won't be so happy come February or March!

It was -17 F this morning when I ran to work. Warmed up to about -5 F in the afternoon and now it's -17 again. A bit too cold to ski tonight, so I'm going for a short run. My dog doesn't like missing her runs!

it's getting colder, 34 deg with a windchill of 22 deg here on long island . i ran a quick 3 miler last night and it sure felt good. maybe this years snowflake will really be a snowflake.

though i enjoy running in colder weather i really don't like the cold. the puerto rican in me agrees that anything under 70 is cold.

It was 25 with a windchill of 12 when I ran this morning at 6:00. Snow on the roads, too. This was the first 'winter' run I've had this winter. Two days ago I ran in shorts. But tomorrow it's supposed to be 45 and rainy.

I remember around mid-december I went early morning trail running for the first time with a group I run with. It was about 45 degrees out at dunes state park in northwest indiana and I showed up in a long sleeve tech shirt and short shorts. The people thought I was crazy because they wore tights but they were the crazy ones because they were all overdressed. The day was perfect for trail running and I enjoyed the comfort of wearing short shorts in mid-december. Too cold now for shorts, but not too sure what mother nature has in store.
