I won! I won! .....shoes

I ran the Charles Harris 10k one week ago (I'll be crossing the finish line in about 10 minutes, 1 week ago). Did OK for my first 10k in many years - 5 mins. better than my target time. Felt easy.

Almost forgot to pick up my Tshirt package. While there, dropped my name in the door prize drawing ..... and won the grand prize of a new pair of Nikes! Actually, a card for someone in Product Development at Nike - I was to give him a call and he would "set me up". This was their way of promoting their Bowerman line of running shoes. Based on my current shoes (NB 857 and Saucony Omni3) he sent me a pair of Air Structure Triax 10+. They just arrived today. I'll give them a workout later today. Hopefully they work for me - with 3 pairs in rotation I shouldn't have to buy shoes for a very long time. More money for gizmos, heheh.

Aside - does the Nike+ symbol mean the sensor is built in? I don't see any other way to insert a sensor. But I don't have any of that technology, just curious really.

The sensor is NOT built in.

Pull out the sockliner of the left shoe. There's an oval shaped "plug" there. Pull it out. That's where you put the sensor.
