Re: You know you have a running problem when...
Postrun depression starts to set in at mile 27 of a 50K trail run. I swear this happened to me last weekend. I was starting to feel sad that it was almost over and didn't want it to end.

You know you're a runner when:

You fall flat on your face, skinning your and suffering cuts on your hand and face at the end of a workout, and still call it a "good run" because you just ran a 18:37 5K tempo segment.

So true, so true. I have one I can always count on to blacken up when none of the others will cooperate. Now it's almost back to what a normal person would consider only mildly deformed. Time for some long runs on the trails!

You run in the evening because, well, you ran in the morning but that was like 10 hours ago and you were hardly awake so it didn't really count.

I don't know why, but I did this a few minutes ago. Thanks for alerting me to a possible running problem . Does anyone know the address for Runners Anonymous?

Re: You know you have a running problem when...
I am so hyper aware that pretty much all I talk about, or am interested in talking about, is RUNNING so I try to be careful that I sprinkle in some other topic material here & there. I kind of have to bite my tongue quite frequently so as not to beat the subject to death!

May I add...

You have several conversations going on in your body--not just the me, myself, and I in your head, but also different muscles and nerves too!

Hehe, I'm planning on moving back to my hometown. I'm already trying to plan where I will run.

We're moving soon and I'm antsy to start doing that too. On a side note, I find myself daydreaming about the places I used to live before I became a runner and how wonderful if would have been to run there!

  • You buy black nail polish so all of your toes will match.

    - You schedule time with out of town friends and family according to local race events.

    - Shoe shopping takes less than five minutes.

You pass up a night on the town, knowing you have your early morning run. Plus, all the extra calories and lack of sleep, will affect your performance.

Thinking about the next run, during a run.
