Christmas at Disney?

Does anyone know if Disney, the one in Orlando, is open on Christmas? If so, is it crowded?

I don't know about DisneyWorld in Orlando but when I went to Disneyland in California, there were over 80,000+ people at the theme park on Christmas Day. That's how crowded it was and even with fast pass or fast track for rides, it was miserably packed with "guests." Best to go on an off day if you can, non-tourist season and when everyone's at work or school during the week. You can have the entire amusement park to yourself then. No lines, no crowds. That's the way to enjoy "The Happiest Place on Earth."

Unfortunately, due to work, going during an off time isn't really possible.

80,000+ is a capacity crowd or the kind of crowd for holidays or holiday weekends for Disneyland in California. Less people on weekends but still plenty busy, crowded, long lines. I avoid these kinds of numbers like the plague. Since you can't go to DisneyWorld during the off season or during the week when everyone else's at work or school due to your schedule, then I recommend getting fast passes or fast track (don't remember what it's called but one of those names). This way, you can zip on rides a little quicker instead of waiting HOURS in line for each ride. Huge waste of time if go that route. Also go on rides during parades. You have to pay more for fast passes but it's worth it. DisneyWorld is larger so it'll be more crowded but then again, there's more acreage. Nonetheless, you'll be sandwiched in crowds so it's best to get those fast passes if you do decide to go.

My family would go to Disneyland every year for Christmas. I always wondered why we went every Christmas & finally asked my mom when I was in h.s....It was because my parents were foster parents and they couldn't bear to see the look on the foster kids faces when their parents didn't show up to see them on Christmas. So to not have to worry about it anymore they would take all of us to Disneyland the week of Christmas. Yes it was crowded but we all had the time of our lives.

Go and have fun.

All right, I can't stand Disney, but this? This is something else.

I mean...that's just about the nicest thing I've heard in a long time.
