Podcasts

Can anyone suggest any podcasts to listen to? I've got a long run tomorrow and I'm kind of tired of the tunes on my Ipod. I've never downloaded any before so I don't know what's good and what's not. They don't have to be music. They can be talk or both. If they are music, I'm not really into the whole techno thing that I know some Podcasts offer.

Any suggestions?

Do you use iTunes? They have free college lectures from several universities that are generally pretty good. On the iTunes Store page, click "iTunes U" on the left.

I just downloaded an episode of "Lobster Mortality on Long Island Sound." It's about 42 minutes. Just about five treadmill miles. Yay!

Hey, I downloaded Juice, but lots of the URLs are out of whack. Is that common?

It's a while since I used it, so I'm not really sure what you mean. What I've always done for getting feeds is to search the web for a podcast I like, copy the address and paste it into the aggregator (rather than using their directories, for example).

Have you tried Happyfish? It works with XP too, I've just found out, and it's just a really simple interface programmed by someone friendly and polite. It's what I'm using, so if you have any questions I might be able to help (my usage is fairly simple, though - I don't synch my device, for example).

We download The Brian Lehrer Show. Great for car trips. Some of the downloads (esp. the ones from ABC etc) are too dramatic...reminds me of Fox News.

SGU is usually pretty good (except when they talk about nuclear physics..well, pretty much physics at all).
I found Point of Inquiry a while back. Good interviews with a lot of really interesting people. URL=http://www.pointofinquiry.org/HERE[/URL] is the url.

Yeah, they're kind of out of their depth on the physics. I did enjoy when they went to a Psychic's Convention recently and messed w/ the psychics.

I will check out PoI.
