Well, presumably it's nutritional because babies not only survive but thrive on breastmilk alone for the first year of their lives. An infant's birth weight doubles after about five months and triples by the first birthday, by which time the infant's length increases by half.
I didn't think the nutritional value of breastmilk was all that debatable, so I didn't go into it any further than to comment on the supplements.
