Sport You vs. Real You

I've been thinking of starting this thread for a while 'cause there are so many interesting athletes writing here on MS that I can no longer keep track of everyone. Besides that, it's nice to know what the family members look like.

Please post your favourite sport pic and then a pic of what you look like when you're not racing or training ... and then don't forget to tell us where you live (if you feel comfortable divulging that info)!

I'll go first ...

Sport Me

Here I am jumping through the finish at the 2003 Ottawa Marathon ... I was really happy since I made decent time at this race with very little training and felt really strong from 35k onward, unlike all my other marathons ...

(sorry it's a two-parter, but one needs the other to get the whole exuberant finish feel)

Real Me

Impromptu shot taken by a photographer friend of mine while I was waiting for the metro (subway)

So, my tri-peeps, don't be shy and let us see who you are!

Sally
Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Re: Sport You vs. Real You
Sounds fun. I'll play! (Though I don't have anything as dynamic or as exciting as Sally.

Sport Me
At the end of my second half marathon earlier this year (1:54, PR).

Real Me
A recent family shot at my grandmothers 80th birthday party. It's hard to find shots of me, as I'm usually the one behind the camera taking the photos. DD is very excited everytime she sees me on the trainer and demonstrates how wheels go around and around. She also knows that helmets keep you from "bonking" your head, which she mimes every time she sees a helmet. (No, I don't wear a helmet on the trainer!)
That was hilarious at the only triathlon she went to -- it was bonking overload as riders went by.

Cute kid!!

"sport" me:

2006 Muddy Buddy, that's me in the (used to be) yellow shirt with a blue helmet.

real me:

Me with mom's dog Cleo when she was a pup (year or so ago, I guess?). I don't have a lot of pics of me, I guess!

It turns out that there's really not much difference other than the mud.

Great idea Silly Girl, this is very cool.

I'm a sporting version of myself. I don't change. Both of us reside north of Boston.

Hard to find real me pics when I'm usually the photographer.

Re: Sport You vs. Real You
Great pictures!!

I'll play along:

This is my absolutely favorite picture of myself. Ever. Perhaps my ONLY favorite picture of myself, EVER. My sister Fran took it in March 2005. It was after the Bay-to-Bay 12k in Florida. I was soooo happy to see my sister, period. She lives in Florida, and we don't get to see each other often. I was thrilled that I was racing in Florida, and so excited that she could be there. She was egging me on to show off, so I complied, laughing the whole time.

And this is me not racing or post race. This must be October '06. It's at my in-law's house, and I think I'm opening a gift, so I'm thinking birthday, which would have been late October. Oh, just caught a glimpse of the camera date in the corner, it was this past Christmas.
