Workouts - Friday, July 20 - Good Luck Mr. Gorsky!

On July 20, 1969, astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon - and allowed his neighbor to get a little something from his wife[/URL" target="_blank">.

8 soupy miles in socked-in New England this morning with The Diesel, Iron Boy, and the divine Ms. M. Man it's humid!! We slogged it out with squishy shoes and good company!

Make one great leap tri-folks!

We have the wetness over here as well

45 mins of puddlehopping for me this morning - at one point the rain was so heavy I wished for my wetsuit and was going to count the miles as swim miles

Have a good friday guys

Neil

wonderful 60degree, low humidity morning with a mild breeze. Too bad only a 30min run @ 2.7miles. I PR'd my 2.2 loop outside my house by 1 min, not bad consider a mostly Z2 effort! CC said run as I felt and I felt good,so I ran!

Sore and stiff all over from intervals yesterday, but it went away pretty quick.

1-2mile OWS tonight @ Lake Michigan

Wooo last run with stupid monitor. They finally took it off!!!Very early run so that I could get to work early, so that I could get back to the doctor without losing hours. Just wasting a lot of gas. I hear you Ron 55 degress, no humidity! Wonderful Got in 3 brisk miles and a little core work.

Back at work. Bike ride tonight.

Poor Mr. Gorsky. That's a patient man!

Re: Workouts - Friday, July 20 - Good Luck Mr. Gorsky!
Rest day for me today. Had a solid brick workout last night. Rode my bike home (an hour) then jumped off and ran a 6:24 mile followed by a wog back home. The 6.5 mile was cool, but what really surprised me is that I walk/jogged a mile in 10 minutes flat. I remember when that was my running pace. Huh.

Here's to you Mr. Gorsky!

Great job on the ride, Julie! That's definitely an accomplishment!

Ronbo: congrats on the PR!

Just an easy hour ride for me, with a few faster pickups towards the end. Had to be on the trainer because it is POURING outside.

Racey-race this weekend. Should be interesting given the past 3 days of intensity + doubles!

4.5 mile run this morning, about 3 miles with DW and the last 1.5 solo ... About 8:50 pace overall ....

Bagged cycling at lunch, and decided to go for an outdoor swim instead at Pierce Island pool (overlooking the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard). About 35 minutes swimming total - a little over a mile I'd guess.

Good luck racers and happy weekend all others!

Reg.

7 mile run this morning followed by 20 mile easy bikeride on trail. This is the one place in ATL I can ride without switching left hand gears. Rode a lot of aero. Did not use a maxipad.

Re: Workouts - Friday, July 20 - Good Luck Mr. Gorsky!
I planned a long ride with a friend, but we woke up to pouring rain. She didn't want to chance it on the busy road with it being wet, even though the rain was letting up (there are some crazy drivers out there). I decided to ride my normal route instead (mostly residential). I actually put two routes together to make a long route. It was so nice because it was less busy than it is in the evenings.

So, I rode my longest of 25 miles, and it only sprinkled on me. The temp was only 77, so it was a nice ride, though humid! I've got to clean my bike now.

We're leaving tomorrow for Colorado, so I'll be back July 30.

Good luck to x, flip, runnerbee and everyone else racing this weekend.

5 mile run for me tonight. Still humid, but at least the air was moving a bit tonight. Every little bit helps!
