olympic distance race 4 weeks from half iron?

I have a half iron on Sept 15, did my second triathlon ever last weekend, IronAbe Olympic distance, and won the 30-34 age group, there is another olympic August 19, would it be better to do that and get more experience racing, or would it be better to stick to the training plan that has a 3:15 bike on sat of that weekend and 1:45 run on sunday, if i did the race i would have 6 45-55 mile bikes instead of 7, the long runs i'm fine on

making some assumptions on your fitness, but assuming you have enough base (how do you feel after oly?) you should be fine. 4 weeks apart should be fine. Missing one longer ride isn't going to kill ya and the Oly will sharpen your speed.

Now if you were a newbie (fitness), I'd say no way.

it all dependso n how your body reacted to the prior race.

You'll be fine, at that point inyour training a 2 hour ride during the week with some 10 minute intervals for about 40 minutes total work would be a perfectly good proxy once your legs recover from the race, or go for a long cool down on the bike after the race and skip the plaque.

You will be fine doing the race. Your time at Iron Abe is comparable to what I did for my first Oly last year. Do something like Jroden says, he knows what he is talking about.
