Migration from CR to Active may be coming soon....

Check out this thread[/URL" target="_blank"> in Boomers.

The Active forms for CR are just in beta. Sounds like some folks in Boomers are anti-Active.com enough to be considering kickrunners.com as an alternative. Though if we go that way, we may need to talk them into a multisport forum. The good news is -- judging from their "rules" -- odds are excellent that they can be bribed with beer.

There are already a lot of familiar "faces" over at kickrunners (a non-commercial site created by former members of Kick... the site that became CR.

Pssst! PH is over there! Tithers, do you think he'd be upset if we came to visit?

Re: Migration from CR to Active may be coming soon....
I checked out the beta the other day and was really disappointed. I found it exceptionally slow (like, minutes per page to load) and aesthetically clutterd. Hopefully some of that is the beta-ness.

I wonder why the move. Is CR that successful that Active sees it as a profit source (big community, ad revenue, etc), or is the opposite occuring?

PS. I hate change

Yep, looks like it will be happening soon. It says Fall 2007. I also do not like change, but I can adapt! UGH!

This is an issue in all the forums. I haven't read the threads because I don't keep a log, but you might want to take a look.

I just registered under my current CR screen name. My initial thought is "cluttered." I did not notice a training log tab, either. Luckily, I have been printing my weekly logs for the past 4 years.

I reckon we'll just have to become part of a bigger family...sometimes change sucks.

Kind of hard to work with all of that paper

I download mine then import to excel as a backup at this screen. If they do not export the data into a new log, then you could create yopur own in either excel or access, or load it into another training log via some type of automated sim load

It's in the running log section, click on the tool icon

Is there something there I'm not seeing? There are only 3 threads with posts from today. Not very "active"!

Kind of a catch-22 thing, ain't it?

Change is the only constant - embrace it.
