Just got a call from one of my sisters. One of my nephews is in the hospital. He's very sick. He is septic, actually. A very bad kidney infection, that he let go too long. His wife is pregnant, and is due any day. She has had a very difficult last couple of months of pregnancy. He's been very worried about her, and he's been taking care of their other young son, so he put off getting the help that he needs for too long.

He is only 9 years younger than me, and we grew up almost like brother and sister. He spent many weekends at our house when he was little, we'd watch cartoons on Saturday mornings, and race his matchbox cars, go to the park, etc.

He's in danger right now, but he's in the hospital, so he's getting the care he needs. My sister was finally able to get his wife to go to sleep about an hour ago. She's in danger right now too...Please keep Carl and Jessica in your thoughts today. I would really really appreciate it.
