Should we do CRMS awards?

Just wondering if y'all think it would be fun/smart/good to hand out virtual awards for things like:

o Most Inspirational
o Best Race Report
o Best Race Outfit
o Most Informative

And so on. Purely for fun, no cash purse, we could have a year-end thread for nominations and voting, hopefully organized by someone with better skillz than me.

Any interest?

Absolutely. The Boomers have done this for some time with great success. Even just a thread with nominations could be fun.

Probably couldn't hurt to mix in a few silly categories, for grins.

Good stuff! I think we need more categories...the ones listed have some strong prospects. Oh who am I kidding, I'm just jealous that I won't win!

wait, won't that throw us into some kind of bizarre alternate universe where anti-matter is the rule of the day and people walk around with their guts on the outside and their skin inside??

Maybe the awards should have sponsor names attached, too. Like:

The HammerGel award for Best Bonk
The Snapping Turtle Conservation Fund award for Best OW Panic Attack
The Bell Helmets award for Best Use of a Helmet (aka Best Crash)
The Oxford Guide to Writing award for Most Effusive Forum Posts

Fred Sanford award for the most creative use of Vice Grip brand locking pliers, extra points if they double as a mallet or are used also to open expensive foriegn beers without twisty caps.

Did you know that stuff can be used to make structural repairs in homes you are trying to sell? Double points if used with that expanding foam from a can to fix a rotten sill plate.
