Started Today (or restarted) 9/15

We did it! I had completed the C25K this past spring and then was injured and ill, so I am starting from scratch. And I managed to convince my husband to join me!

We have decided to try it without the podcast in order to actually talk while running, but I know I'll miss my music when I get to week 5 or 6. But having some time with the spouse if a nice thing.

Today's outing was more difficult than either of us anticipated, but we're commited to continuing.

Wish us luck!

Congrats on getting back out there! How great to be able to get your run in and spend time talking with your husband! I love it when my hubby joins me on my runs (he rides a bike along side of me). It is almost like a date...that is except that I make him do most of the talking so I can focus on breathing.

Good luck with the c25k!

I'm sure there will be more finding the discussion board before long! I didn't know about it when I started c25k, but I'm glad I found it in week 4!

I started the C25K today also. Had quit running due to a shoulder injury and the repetitive swinging motion hurt so bad! Surgery has me feeling great again, and I'm ready to go pound the pavement!

Last run was 15 months ago, so the rust is really thick!

New C25K here as well! I've done it in the past, ran a half marathon last summer, and now am training for either another half or a full in the summer of 2008. One of my training partners has never run before and I'm sorely out of shape...so we'll be starting the program tomorrow!

I also restarted on 09/15/07. I would love for us to start a little motivation group to keep us all going. I am looking at signing up for a 5k in December, and will need all the motivation that I can get. Anyone interested?

W1D1 down! Went with my training buddy, and thanks to the fall temps it was pretty fun. I tend to get horrid headaches post-run, but today I hydrated pretty well so now I only have a wee little headache.

Feels so good to be running again! Can't wait till I'm back at 13 miles...it'll be a long road but worth it!

How's everyone else doing? Our group needs a name so we're easy to find on the topics list...what shall we call ourselves?

Hi everyone. Can I join in?

This is my first time training. I did day one yesterday. I hope to run my first 5k on Thanksgiving. That is in 10 weeks. Do you think the 9 week program is realistic for someone who is completely new to running?

Hi everyone - I started the C25K in March and made it to week 8 - then slacked off and stopped running all together in July... So I'm starting from scratch again too. Had my first run on Monday and it was more challenging then I expected - Its amazing how fast I can fall out of shape... Anyway - all I really wanted to say was: good luck everyone!

Just checking in...

W1D2 today. Felt great. So much better than Monday. I think it was the weather...overcast and a bit cool as opposed to sunny and warm. I run much better in the fall.

Ok, we totally need a name. We'll be finishing around Thanksgiving, so how about:

5K by Turkey Day??
