You really have to admire the form of these runners. If you're looking for good examples, check it out!

Nice finishes in the elite categories. Very close and exciting. I can't imagine running that distance in that kind of heat though!

Pretty unbelievable. I ran a HM here in Cleveland, yesterday. It was pretty brutal. I had a friend who did the full marathon. He actually caught a guy that collapsed. He saw his eyes roll back in his head and thankfully was able to catch him. They just happend to be by an unmanned water stop. He kept pouring water over him so he wouldn't go into convulsions and told other runners to get help. He said they were dropping like flies!!!

Re: Anyone Watching Chicago Marathon?
Not that I'm an experienced runner but I have been training for this race for almost a year and had expected to complete it in 4 hours. By the 15K mark I realized that 4 hours was going to be impossible and that I needed to change my strategy from 'racing' to survival. The people of the city of Chicago were fantastic! I can't say enough about those that were spraying us with water from their garden hoses, passing out ice water. For my first marathon this was definitely unforgettable and I was able to complete it in just over 5 hours, but I did finish. When I got to the 20 mile marker we heard the race was canceled, but they allowed us to finish. I've never been happier to complete a run!!!
