Looking for upbeat music!

I have to listen to music for motivation while running. I have a hard time finding fun, upbeat songs.
Any suggestions?
Thanks! :-)

Try 'Nine Pound Hammer'. Kind of southern rock with fun lyrics.

I always make sure that I have some AC/DC on my playlist. I can't run without it. My last two songs on the playlist are always 'Highway to ****' and 'Girls Got Rhythm', both from the Highway to **** album. I would also recomment Motley Crue, Poison, the Who, and surprisingly the Beatles and Tom Petty. I usually alternate the Beatles with AC/DC ('Revolution' is especially good). I hope this helps

Try:
Dave Brubeck "Take Five."
Al DiMeola "Race With Devil on Spanish Highway."
Love Theme from "Pictures of the Sea."
Pat Metheny "Yolanda, You Learn."

mtnchk....I like all genres. I just have a hard time finding songs that give me that extra drive. For me, I need a really fast beat.

Do you listen to techno at all? I think Danube's "Sandstorm" is the best workout song. I have it on my playlist a couple of times. It starts out a little slow and then just builds and builds until you're sprinting along to the beat.

Quick correction: "Sandstorm" is by Darude.

I have a mix of techo, hip hop, dance mixes, salsa......including Paul Oakenfold, Darude, Will Smith, some general club/dance mixes, etc for speed work days......I also do instrumentals w/nature sounds & the like for some of my "slow" days....base building....'cause I tend to run a bit to the beat

I actually run to some music that I would otherwise never admit to liking.

Sexyback - Justin Timberlake
Fighter - Christina Aguilera
Ain't No Other Man - Christina Aguilera
Don't Phunk With My Heart - Black Eyed Peas
Let's Get It Started - Black Eyed Peas
American Woman - Lenny Kravitz
Are You Gonna Go My Way - Lenny Kravitz
Can't Get You Outta My Head - Kylie Minogue
Another One Bites the Dust - Queen
Gettin Jiggy With It - Will Smith

I guess it's all personal preference but these songs helped me go from running for five minutes to running 3 miles without stopping!
