Good morning, all.

I did four miles last night with my roommate so it was appropriately paced, i.e. slow. This morning, I biked to the gym and did a "muscle conditioning class" which was fun. A blend of step aerobics, free weights and pilates.

Might run with a coworker this afternoon. Might have a beer with a coworker this afternoon. Decisions, decisions.

Joe, how's staying up late for the games going? I think the entire city in on extra caffeine this week, judging by the line I hit in Starbucks this morning.

Hey everyone! Yesterday was a rest day, and boy did it feel good. Tonight is my cross train night - I'm debating between Tae-Bo and Yoga, but I usually make a game time decision for that

Tomorrow is my long run and I'm going to do 6 miles. If I make it, that'll bring my mileage up to 15.5 for the week, and 15 is what I'm shooting for all of November. In December I want to up that to 18 mpw, and by January I want to have a 20 mpw base. Do you guys think that sounds good? I don't want to push it too quickly, but the HM training program that I'll be starting in March starts with a 20 mpw base and I want to be at that level for several weeks before starting to train for my HM.

Good morning my running friends.

I am very happy because yes, IT IS FRIDAY!!!

Yamahamamma - I am so sorry to hear the news. I was wondering about you. Stay safe and I will keep you in my prayers.

Alex - We want tights, we want tights. hahahaha.

Joe - come on post a pic. hahaha. It is freaking COLD. Man, I hope I get used to this cold soon. 40 something degrees is not good. I will be wearing my tights on Sunday for sure. 75% booty and 25% legs. HAHA.

Laurel - So glad you joined us. We are fun group. And yes it keeps us honest. I started running in May. I was a total couch potato prior to that. I run a mile in about 11:30 or so. I have ran one 5K to date and will run the 1/2 relay on Sunday. Would love to join you for the Seabrook Trails. You will notice it is better than concrete. Much more relaxing too.

Oh, last night was a rest day for me. I am going to try and sneak out of here at 3 so I can go run about 3-4 miles and then it is Bud Lite time. Just a couple. Rest on Sat. Then off to the race. I am so exited. We pick up our race packet today.

Good morning all!

I got the new Mizunos in the mail today from the running store in Maine so I'll give those a try this weekend/week and see how they do...they look "cool" anyway! LOL!

Have a great day!

Good morning gang, rest for me today- RHR = 51, up 6 beats from normal. Although I had scheduled a rest today, will try 7 for tomorrow. I am trying to get some clothes that I can run in as the temperature cools off. They are quite expensive! Maybe I can get a couple of pieces here and there. But the cooler temps are a pleasant change for me. Last night we had the clearest full moon, cool temps, and no wind?..makes for great running!

I am sitting here trying to think of something positive to say about the Rockies (as the cursor keeps flashing)??nothing comes to mind. Oh, I guess they will play at home soon.

Marilyn- I will be running in Austin on Jan. 27th also. My goal is 2:20.

Laurel- this is a great group, they will keep you motivated. Welcome! What is different about the days that you can?t get out and run?

Joe- cool map, Thanx, I?ll get on there soon.

I received an email from CR about changing over to Active. But, the last time I checked I could not find a running log. Any suggestions or concerns about the change?

Good running,
Go Rockies!
Stan

Stan - Great! So I'll see you in Austin, then. I'll look for you at the beginning because you'll finish way before I do. Sorry to say that the Rockies looked way too much like the Astros last night - wasted opportunities - sigh! But let's see what happens when they get back home.

Laurel - how'd that run go this morning? I'm also a morning runner and I'm usually on the road by 5. Today was my rest day, so I slept in until 5:45. Okay, how crazy is it that I'm "sleeping in" and that still means getting up before 6?!

Peg - good luck tomorrow!

Tomorrow's schedule calls for 4 miles. I'm planning to run on a dirt trail near my neighborhood for a little change of scenery. I'm headed off to Florida for work on Sunday morning, so I'll catch up when I get back home.
