Morning!
My run went well yesterday, everything felt good. I feel like my legs are finally 'bouncing back' and getting ready. Another 3ish mile run tonight.
Eating yesterday went well too! I did NOT cave in to any candy, donuts or other items, even though I was starving - I bought a yogurt and a banana in my travels (instead of the latte and apple, which had a large yucky brown spot.)
Today's meal plan:
Oatmeal with Milk and Cherries
Apple
Cranberry Chicken and Green Beans
Latte
Turkey, Couscous, and Tomato Sauce, Spinach Salad
I know I forgot lots of stuff from the end of last week's thread, but I did want to welcome RIBARB. I ran the Blessing of the Fleet 10 miler in Narragansett this summer, which was great. I know that's not too close to where you are, but RI isn't that big either. My family has a house near Charlestown, so I am down there in the summer sometimes.
niccole - good for you getting up to run, that's great! And I love your next girl's trip - my Mom is going to see the art from Florence (I think) that's currently at the MET, I am jealous.
Bodacious - I am psyched for your trip! Tell AEK we're thinking of her too...or maybe she lurks on the thread a bit and she'll see it herself. You're going to run a great 10k. Good attitude about the WI, some fluctuation is normal, and you know where to fix things. I buy Propel once in a while, just cuz I love the bottle, and then I refill, or make the Crystal Light to GO packs in it. They're a big 24oz too, so 3 of them make your day's water. No new socks, you're right! Maybe I'll make a sign for my back - "I might be slow but faster than Manny".
Shannon - congrats on hitting goal, that's awesome!! How fast you can move from a 10k to a HM depends on your long run - if that's your goal, I'd recommend training to at least a 7m long run for the 10k, so that you can safely increase that over 2 months to the HM. Sounds like a good plan though!
likenoo-the cranberry chicken is good - and makes great leftovers for lunches. I need to buy a few extra bags of cranberries for the freezer.
rogue - you know you've "made it" as a runner when you're not watching the clock and truly enjoying yourself, so that's great! I like Dustin - you wouldn't believe the World Series mania here- or maybe you would believe it!
Deb - glad you're feeling a bit better! As long as you're taking it easy, running usually doesn't hurt. And do not worry about coming in last in a race - someone has to! I have already come in last (in 2 different races) and totally survived, and am here to tell about it.

Brandy and SeeFritz - added your races.
Hi to Colleen, melanie, and others....I've gotta get moving. More later!
