Blueberry cream cheese pastry, big bag of potato chips, airheads, hot chocolate, 3 bagels and cream cheese, toast, scrambeled eggs, hashbrowns, pasta, breadsticks, lemonade, ice cream sundae, granola bar, and chocolate covered almonds the day or so before a 5K race.

Slammed down a McDonalds Big and Tasty (that was neither), fries, and a diet coke before boarding a flight back to Washington, DC.

Ran the National HM the next day. Felt awful.

Oh boy, its gonna bring back the memory of those warm, painful, and often questionable burps......but never try eating fish with special tartar sauce (mayo, yogurt, hot peppers and garlic)

as if that wasnt enough - i ate it only about 30 minutes before taking off!! ive since learned that if i dont have time to digest, to just kiss the running goodbye for the night - its safer that way

Sausage gravy and biscuits
Chili dawgs
Lo mein and orange chicken

I mention the latter two because when combined with gastric acid, they will leave an impenetrable stain on your $100 running shoes.

I'm definitely going to have to go with Raisin Bran. It's the only time I've ever thrown up during a run.

Double cheeseburger washed down with an ice cream sandwich. Yikes.

That reminds me of the episode of The Office where Michael downs a bowl of fettucini alfredo before a big race because he heard that eating pasta would help. Friggin hilarious!

It's funny because after I woke up feeling too gross to run this morning... I told my husband that I should write "Never, never overeat." 100 times on a chalkboard somewhere as punishment. Last night, we had sausage risotto, bread, salad and wine. I was stuffed, but what did I do? I ate a bowl of frozen yogurt. I'm an idiot.

I've never actually done it, but I'd imagine that Beefaroni is probably the worst pre-run snack!

Two strong apple martinis, finished an hour before a short 2.5 mile run. I don't drink much, and I think I was a little tipsy. It was a fun run, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Although it doesn't sound bad (which is why I tried it twice), don't drink slimfast before a run... or you'll have the runs! Quite unfortunate.

Alcohol. Specifically Bloody Marys

Had 2 of them with some friends once at about 4:00. Decided to go for a run around 6:30.

Tomato juice + alcohol + running = big gigantic disaster.

I didn't make it past a mile, when I was leaning over my friendly neighborhood bridge ridding myself of them in the river. Walked home, and experienced the worst lower GI trouble possible. I honestly thought something might be really wrong, as in "I need a hospital" wrong.

Now, I don't even drink the night before I plan to run. One bitten, twice shy.
