Sweet Tweety's Arla !!!!!!!

Mtnck - I don't do much runnining there, but alot of walking. Most of it behind a push mower ,as it is my back yard. There's a saying that goes "If you're lucky enough to live by the water, you're lucky enough."

well, we're lucky enough to have bought a fixer upper on .75acre on a point on the Metedeconk River in Bricktown.

Anyway, since we're in prancing pet mode, here's Buddy with his evil nemisis , Lucky the cat.

Arla - Sweet Tweeties! (My mom was terrified of birds; thus, no birds in our house.)

Joe - Have to say I like you even more now that I see you have a black kitty. And Buddy's ears - too cool!

I'll get my film developed tomorrow and get some pics here.

Got outta the office around 4:20, came straight home, fed the gang, cleaned the kitchen, and now I'm drinking a glass of wine . . . ahhhhh!

Wait! I do have 1 pic - I may have showed you this already. This is our old guy (17), Fatso. He basically lives on our pillows now. Much more comfortable for his old bones:

Re: 40's On The Run - Winds of Change
I was gonna say, "Mornin', All!", but it's after noon. I was a late riser this morning. One of those days when I could've easily slept off and on all day. But finally dragged myself out of bed at 9:00 and hit the road for my last long run before next weekend. 8 miles in 1:25:36 = 10:42 average.

It's an absolutely gorgeous day here. Crisp and sunny.

Still fighting the $@%^ing blisters. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Two small ones on the ball of left foot and a small one on the end of a toe on the right. Felt the toe one coming at during the last mile or so. I looked at my sock, felt in my shoe - can't figure out why. My shoes aren't too small. I had to get an entire size larger than I normally wear to accommodate my resurfaced orthotics. But I got in the mail some blister patches that are suppose to be specifically for athletes, and the packet includes little dinky ones that should fit over the toe, so we'll see. I tried a different sock this morning, which may be the problem today. Will go back to my old socks, blister patches, blister prevention patches, and duct tape. Something's gotta work!

Tonight's Arts Alive! and a wine tasting to benefit a local grammar school. I think I might be doing a lot of laying on the couch tomorrow . . .

Have a great weekend, everyone!

PS - Keep bringin' on the pics! They liven things up.

Re: 40's On The Run - Winds of Change
This pet picture stuff is cool

Kiesha and Fatso are IN the Club Same with Jasmine.

Mtnchk- that other dog could run around the world,I think.

Arla -Funny about your tough little bird. That Toga party on heels looks like a Blast!

Tamara- Buddy's siblings as well as himself were all born with ears like that. One up,one down.Sometimes the wind blows the droopy one up,and he's "correct". He is supposed to be mostly Australian Kelpie, but I looked up "Dingo " and found this picture.Compare it with the big one of his and then -
HIDE the BABIES !

Re: 40's On The Run - Winds of Change
Okay - I got my film developed. There are a few pics here 'cause it's virtually impossible to get everyone together in one picture. Here we go:

The Feeding Frenzy (in a messy kitchen):

A rare moment when (l-r) BK, Fatso, and Ziggy are getting along. (BK is our feral kitty we took in. He's so undernourished now!):

The kittens - especially Wilson, in the tub - are fascinated w/the shower or any running water:

The kittens - all our cats - have such a hard life!:

And just 'cause I had no idea it was on the roll, a pic of me (right) and my sister-in-law, Kim, Mexico last April:

Let's see if I did this right. Here is Ginny and Beau...Ginny is the sheltie, and Beau is the border terrier, in the back of our jeep getting ready to go for a ride!
