Re: 40's On The Run - Winds of Change
I was gonna say, "Mornin', All!", but it's after noon. I was a late riser this morning. One of those days when I could've easily slept off and on all day. But finally dragged myself out of bed at 9:00 and hit the road for my last long run before next weekend. 8 miles in 1:25:36 = 10:42 average.
It's an absolutely gorgeous day here. Crisp and sunny.
Still fighting the $@%^ing blisters. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Two small ones on the ball of left foot and a small one on the end of a toe on the right. Felt the toe one coming at during the last mile or so. I looked at my sock, felt in my shoe - can't figure out why. My shoes aren't too small. I had to get an entire size larger than I normally wear to accommodate my resurfaced orthotics. But I got in the mail some blister patches that are suppose to be specifically for athletes, and the packet includes little dinky ones that should fit over the toe, so we'll see. I tried a different sock this morning, which may be the problem today. Will go back to my old socks, blister patches, blister prevention patches, and duct tape.
Something's gotta work!
Tonight's Arts Alive! and a wine tasting to benefit a local grammar school. I think I might be doing a lot of laying on the couch tomorrow . . .

Have a great weekend, everyone!
PS - Keep bringin' on the pics! They liven things up.
