Gotta run (not really) so no time for shoutouts...
Hey everyone! It's Sunday morning and I had an icky day yesterday.
I started out ok, ate a nice healthy bowl of oatmeal and coffee for breakfast, I putzed around the house for a while, and then got ready for my long run. I hopped on that TM and knew from the start that it wasn't going to be a good run. My ankle was bugging me and that stupid hip twinge that I've been a bit worried about came back. But most of all, my legs were just really heavy and didn't want to run... I only got 1.9 miles in.
I'm going to rest them today - do a 3 mile walk, but no running, and get back to my schedule tomorrow. I'm irritated with myself for being lazy on Wednesday, because since I made up my Wed. run on Friday, I think three days in a row wasn't great for my legs or hip. I'm just not quite ready for 3 days in a row I guess.
Laurel, I'm not sure what the answers to your questions are, but based on my experience, I've decided to make sure to have a rest day before my long runs from now on. I think if stamina becomes an issue, if you can finish the run even while taking walking breaks, then that seems like the best thing (in my opinion).
Jules, i'm so glad to find another person who loves the TM too! I still try to get outside once a week so that I can run with my daughter and so I can continue to train a bit on pavement.
Chuck - what kind of car? Are you getting a convertible? I am so jealous! My 4 year old daughter keeps begging me to buy 'one of those cool cars with no ceilings'... But in Iowa, they're not very practical... Sorry about the puppies...

Peg, you feeling better today? Hope today's a good one for you.
Wbertha, where do you live? You got to run a 1/2 in Green Bay and you're a Pack fan, so are you in the midwest?
Joe, how was your six miles?
Cara, did you enjoy the movie with your husband?
Well, My kids are begging for breakfast. How dare they want to be fed? I should get going.
