I've been running in the evenings and they're still pretty pleasant. So, I've just been wearing shorts, and long sleeve cotton shirt, and a baseball cap. I'm planning on going to Target or Wally world and getting some sweat wicking under-armour type cloths soon though for when I have to start layering up for the winter.

W7D3 done last night. Felt awesome. I had to keep slowing myself down. I'm really making a concious effort to stay slow until I've built up some miles. It feels pretty good to finish 2.5 miles and still have some left over.

going for my first 5K on Thanksgiving morning!
4 miles is my longest run, going for 5 this weekend.
Not sure about meals before the race, night before and that morning. Any advise?

W8, D2 - Done!
You guys gave me the extra push I needed. Hopefully, I'll keep this up. I ran my longest! 2.75 in 33 minutes. Again, this is all on a treadmill. Maybe this weekend I'll get outside.
Do we really only have about a week left? My husband was saying tonight, remember when you were nervous about 90 seconds? It's pretty amazing.

W6D3 done. Easiest run I've had in a while, which is a relief.

Have a great weekend! I bet many of you are excited to be starting week 9!

hello all!

Wk8D3 done! I ran a 5k on Saturday. I just started running and ended up just mapping out a course that got me back to my house-just before I couldn't go anymore! I actually ran 3.8 miles! I couldn't believe it! I actually could do it! I was amazed!

No 5k in my area on turkey day. We found a 10k, hubby and I are signing up for that one. I figure I can do at least 4 mi's without stopping by then. I'll have to wait and see. Now I don't feel like I'll be the very last one coming in from the race.

Good luck to everyone on week 9.

Natalie
