Finished Week 2 Today

I had looked at this for several months before I decided to try it. I have tried various things, and could never motivate past 1 week. I was never excited about it. But I find myself consistently exciting about getting out there. I promised myself, if I did 2 weeks then I would buy new shoes. I was just using a very cheap pair, and my ankle and knee have been kind of touchy the last couple of days. I went to my local running store tonight, bought a new pair of shoes, and finished week 2. I have cut my smoking by half, and Sunday is my quit date. I wanted to get started with exercise and find what I liked before I quit. It motivates me .

congratulations on starting and getting on the road to quitting smoking!
keep it up!
I agree, shoes make a huge difference. When I started in July, I messed up my knee pretty good and had to do physio for it. I'm convinced that wearing the incorrect footwear had a lot to do with it.

Re: Finished Week 2 Today
Congrats on completeing Week 2 and quitting smoking! We have a weekly ex-smokers check in if you haven't seen it already and there are many people at all different stages of quitting/having quit and you can get a lot of moral support there! good luck and just remember it just gets better and easier as the days go... take one day at a time or even ONE CRAVING at a time and you will master it and move on!
