Ok, I'm downloading new tunes to run to while outside so I figured I'd type out the story now.....ok for those who remember Tim was the incredibly boring boyfriend I had before I met my Jason. So last year at Thanksgiving he came home with me...mostly I think to hunt with my dad. Well every year when we all get together we like to play games. The game of choice this year was Trivial Pursuit. It was Tim, me, my parents and my sis and her bf. Everyone has pretty much the same sense of humor...except Tim. So we're halfway through the game and everyone is ribbing on EVERYONE because hello it's Trivial Pursuit...it's hard. And we all pretty much feel like idiots when we play it but who cares...it's all in fun. We got to a question and Tim was reading it and he pronounced something wrong. (Keep in mind we were all drinking too...and were tired) so for whatever reason we started laughing. Well he got annoyed and threw the card down so I picked it up and read it the same way he had and we all started laughing again. He took his 3 beer bottle caps and threw them up in the air and shouted I don't have to take this and stormed off. I just sat there totally dumbfounded...and I remember my sister was like is he kidding?? Ummm no he was not. OMG...it was SO awkward!!! We all just kinda sat there like WHAT WAS THAT???? I wanted to pretty much kill him. So I went downstairs to our room and I didn't see him there and even said his name so then I went back upstairs and said I couldn't find him. Well then we started laughing again because the whole thing was so ridiculous. Ang and I went outside to have a smoke thinking maybe he was out there...no such luck. After that we went back in and I went downstairs again and there he was...in bed. It was like 7:30...I said what the **** was that??? He's like I'm sick of everybody picking on me. Pretty much right then I knew there was no way this relationship was going to last....so now whenever anyone gets mad about something we throw stuff in the air and say we don't have to take it. It'll be a joke forever in our family but OMG...I wanted to die when it happened!!! Oh and he was eating my mom's Frosted Flakes like there was no tomorrow so for Christmas Ang's boyfriend went to SAm's Club and got the super box of Frosted Flakes and gave it to my mom but put Tim's name on the tag....ha ha haha. I thought that was pretty funny.

Jessie is a friend, yeah, I know he's been a good friend of mine. But lately something's changed that ain't hard to define Jessie's got himself a girl and I wanna make her mine...just keeping with the 80's theme

I went to the gym...no sauna.....I did 20 mins on the elliptical and 20 mins on the bike. I tried to run, but the bouncing kinda hurt my back where I had/have this bruise. Then I did an upper body workout with free weights so I didn't have to put my back up against anything. It was odd because my bruise doesn't hurt to the touch, but apparently, its still somewhat injured inside. Either way it was good to go.

Time for lunch. I worked up an appetite. I also went grocery shopping immediately after the gym. Not a good idea. I went in " for a few thing" and came out 80 bucks later always that way, isn't it?

Good morning!

You guys are cracking me up! Love the 80's theme! So I was at the gym this morning and thought to myself, I post on a RUNNING board? maybe I should start running again. So it was 60 sec on and 90 off for 45 min. I feel great and burned my calories for the day.

Monnier- I normally have stuff TiVoed so I watch the commercials and that is my time to stand up and pedal in the big ring. When the commercial is over I have to sit down in the same gear and pedal until the scene changes, then drop it down to the small ring with a 23 on the back until the next commercial.

Melanie- great story. I love holidays with the family. My parents and brother come up and we all go to my IL's. MIL loves to cook and we have been doing this now for 4 years. She says she would not have it any other way.

Michelle- YEAH for the gym!! Is the whole house feeling better now?

Lindsey- Do tell us all about your workout? are you going again today???

OK off to start my day and drink my decaf non fat latte. I burned an extra 100 calories today so I got a coffee with lots of milk? I think I needed it!

I love you, you love me . . . . we're a happy family . . . .

Absolutely perfect morning - 30 degrees, clear sky with the brighest stars twinkling and nary a car in site. The only sound breaking through the crisp air was the panting of Brinkley and yes, sometimes myself!

Scheduled 5 miler turned into 6 magical miles - 9:35 pace.
300 crunches to top it off.

Cheers!

~Mary

Looking like an ugly day in the office - I'll either be here alot - or little . . . . .

Hey guys...just wanted to post that I did 4.2 on the treadmill last night when I got home. It felt ok....but I was pretty wiped when I was done. I've now ran 14 miles in the last 3 days and I need a BREAK! So I'm glad we have darts tonight so I can skip a night. I'm not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow morning though. I was planning on going outside around 7 a.m. but it's supposed to be windy so I might be back on the treadmill. With so many open fields around us that wind is brutal!! I could always do a long, slow run on the treadmill I suppose. i'll be home working so I can take longer if I need to.
Oh and thanks to all of you for all the annoying songs that get in your head!!!!!
Ok, I'll bbl I'm sure.

Hey all ~~ Rontell had to cancel this morning. He's sick. Uhm is there a Dr in the hosue? Anyway, I did a total body toning class that was pretty intense so I definately got a workout in. I will run for the first 4 miles of BL tonight to finish my day!!!!! hey, my DD has asked me about the gym. I'm so happy. I told her I will pay for her membership as a Christmas Present. I'm one happy Mamma right now!!!

Mary It was 52 outside this morning. I heard that and immediately said 'screw the gym, I"m running'. What I didn't hear until I got up was the heavy, heavy rain and wind so a run was not in the plans. Oh well. tomorrow is supposed to be nice to so I may run - even though it is my scheduled day off I didn't do anything other than Belly Dancing yesterday so that may count. We'll see.

Michelle Yeah for hitting the gym. Too bad you couldn't do the sauna too!!

Michele Nice way to get the intervals in on the bike!!

Sarah don't stress too much about not running - we all take running breaks from time to time!!!!! Thanks for the link!!

ok, I'm actually at work so I'll be by later....

Sarah- Cool link. I always tell DH which route I plan to take JIC, but this is a nice idea.

Melanie- I was wondering, what is the word Tim couldn't pronounce? I think darts is a good break. Good for you running on the TM!

Mary- Oh the purple dinosaur. We can tell when you raised your children!

Cherrie- Is Rontell is super great shape?

Sarah - I must have been totally asleep when posting earlier because I didn't even see your posts! I have one of those ID things - but it is on an old pair of shoes! I will put it on my current pair tonight.

It is funny you posted that, because just this morning I was running longer than normal - 6 miles. I got to thinking that DH would probably never know where to find me. I think I'll print off my "normal" routes on Motionbased.com and leave the one I'm running on the kitchen counter in the a.m. Of course today I was a bit off course - but I always have my phone with me too.

Nice run Sarah - just do what you can and when you can!!

Melanie You do need a break! Have fun at darts tonight - like I'm sure you will!! Your Thanksgiving story was hilarious!! That is something my family would never let go of either.

Cherrie Be sure to tell Rontell we want him well soon! JHI is counting on him!! We have to be flexible with the weather - so run tomorrow if you can.

Michele Yep that stupid purple dinasore about did me in! I don't know why that song came to mind.

I'm making my Christmas List. Anyone asking for anything really cool??

~Mary

Mary- You run with your phone? How do you keep it from getting sweaty...ok, not a problem in the winter, but in summer...
