Re: a-WEIGH-we-go!!! 12.Nov - 18.Nov
We had two surprise races today??? Awesome job Mary and Michele! How great you both had PR's. My goal for tomorrow's race is to finish under 35 minutes. We'll see how I do. I didn't run today so I should be fresh for tomorrow. Forecast is calling for 30° temps with possible rain and/or snow and 15-20 mph winds. At least I know what I'm wearing!! I don't think I'm going to get a pic because no one is going that has a camera...as in Jason and the girls. I really hope I get one for Christmas!!
Today Savannah had an eye appt. and needs glasses so we picked out some cute frames...cost me a whopping $106.00. I was pretty happy about that, I was planning on at least $200! So we loaded up on decorations and spent the afternoon decorating. Jason totally got into it with me and the place looks great. We'll get our Christmas tree in a couple weeks though. Oh and all this bed talk?? Too funny because we just saw an ad in the paper for a brand new king size pillow top bed for $210. We called on it tonight and hopefully will be getting it. I hope it's not gone yet! And the best part....I get to get all new bedding...woohoo!!! So yeah, it was an eventful day. I'm hoping after the race tomorrow we'll go out for breakfast, that sounds good to me!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hey guys!

Girly update...I managed with makeup to paint a butterfly on #1 and she was totally and completely happy. Kinder theater was super. Everyone had fun.

My running partner is sick so I am on my own today. I am only waiting for it to get a little lighter out and for one cup of coffee first...I plan on 4 miles today Michele....

Michele- A PR! Awesome. Great pics. You have the greatest, most supportive BF! He runs a 5k in what 6 mins ( ) yet he stays next to you the entire time!

And Mary- I am off to read your RR! But I did read from Melanie that you had a PR too! WOW!

Melanie- I am hoping for a PR for you today!

I found a race for me and DH! There is a marathon in the forest we run in in March. Although I cannot run a marathon or even a half by March, there is a 10K. I will sign up for it and DH will too!

Re: a-WEIGH-we-go!!! 12.Nov - 18.Nov
Its a nice day for porridge...good to warm the belly on a cold cold day...

My run was just short of disappointing. I think I started too fast and that did me in. I changed my route when I knew I wasn't going to make my planned route, and without my GPS, I don't know how far I ran....In total, my time was 45 mins. But I would say I walked 10 of it. The only reason I am not totally disappointed is because at least I got out there.

Now time for some brötchen!

I really need the Garmin....maybe I can sell the Navaman on Ebay...

Hey, Melanie...I know you like Old Navy. I got an email with $10 off a store or internet purchase of $50 or more. Online code is TAKE10. I don't know what you do if you want to redeem it at the store...Maybe print the email? I can email it to you, if you like....Offer end Nov 21.

Re: a-WEIGH-we-go!!! 12.Nov - 18.Nov
Morning all ~~ Ended up with a really hard leg workout with Rontell yesterday but no run. Once I got home and started cleaning it was over then it was time to go to the party. I am not overly happy with myself this morning. I overate, didn't drink too much (only 3 beers) but this morning the scale is up 2 pounds and I feel all bloated and yuck!!!!! Anyway, I'm going for my long run today with a new Nike+. I think the battery in my old one is going - I did a route on MapMyRun and it was 1/2 mile shorter than my Ipod said it was so I'm putting the new one on and we'll see.

Mary Your race sounded hard and still you had a PR - Awesome. Enjoy your football today after our run. That will be my afternoon as well.

Michele Nice job - 2 minutes off a PR is incredible. I am so jealous that HHBF runs with you

Michelle great way to save the day with the DD's. You shouldn't be upset about your run - you are right, at least you were out there. When is the run in March. The half that I'm hoping to do is March 16th.

Melanie Sounds like you are going to have a blast with redecorating.

ok, I'll be around.

Cherrie- March 29th....How far can you run currently? I can do max 6 miles..I don't know if I can double it before March...Is that too ambitious?

Re: a-WEIGH-we-go!!! 12.Nov - 18.Nov
Michelle I went to two training sites - one gave a 16 week training plan and one had a 12 week training plan - both for 'newbies with basically no running experience. Right now I run 6 (although today should be 7) and I'm figuring if I stick with it I should be ok. I'l try to find the sites (althoughMary knows for sure) and I'll post em. One of them was here though under training.

Re: a-WEIGH-we-go!!! 12.Nov - 18.Nov
Okay, Cherrie...I can give it my best...I just have to change this up so I run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday would be my long run. This means that two times per week my run is on a TM. Monday and Saturday I can get outside.

I guess then tomorrow starts week 1...oh, but I cannot run tomorrow AM...hmmm...I will fit it in this week no matter what. Maybe I run only three times this week instead of 4...

Re: a-WEIGH-we-go!!! 12.Nov - 18.Nov
Hey guys...I am PUMPED!!!! I rain my 5k in 30:04!!!! I was praying I would finish under 35!!! I was coming close and I could see the clock and I saw 29:59 and I'm like ****...I totally could've made it under 30 if I had kicked it down earlier. The last 1/2 mile I took off and I was running running. I passed the two women that were in front of me the whole race....Barbie doll types and all I wanted to do was beat them and I did!! I was VERY excited when I finished! Mikayla and Jason came with and cheered me on and then we went for breakfast after that. I'm home now and doing up laundry. All my decorating is done now except for the tree...we'll get that in two weeks.
Michele I wish I would've checked the messages before I left...that would've been a great idea for Jason to make friends with someone! He's Mr. Social so he could've for sure! But alas...no pics this time.
Michelle Thanks for the Old Navy tip...I got the same e-mail. I must be a preferred customer by now!! I found a jacket for Vannie on there and some boots so I almost have her completed as for what I'm getting her. I'm actually way ahead of the game this year...it's kinda nice!
Cherrie I hope your run is going good today. Thinking about you!!!!!
Oh when I started the race today I had on Clumsy by Fergie on my iPod....I love that song and it totally made me run super fast!

Re: a-WEIGH-we-go!!! 12.Nov - 18.Nov
Congratulations Melanie! That is an awesome time - plus beating "the barbies" too!! I'm so happy for you.

How'd the run go Cherrie?

10 miles this morning with my neighbor friend. First half was cold, but enjoyable - the 2nd half we had the wind to deal with. About 2 miles from home she said, "If I weren't running with you, I'd probably be walking". I said, "If I weren't running with you I would be walking and thinking about calling for a ride home!" So we were both happy that we push each other and rewarded ourselves - and MrHopeful - with breakfast out.

Hi Monnier & Michele!! I gotta run to my mom's, get groceries, and help with the leaves . . . time is running out!!

~Mary

Gotta love the outtakes...I wanna see for sure!!!! I'm still trying to figure out when I'm going to get all 6 people in the house for a picture. I think I need to schedule the day and tell the two older girls....be here on this day at this time...end of discussion!
And yes Michele I am totally on cloud 9 today!
