Well today is the last day of the temp job. Man is it boring!!!

And, today is my 10 yr wedding anniversary. Yeah!

Well, the job I took is working for a shareholder and a senior associate. I will be working on commercial litigation, corporate, and bankruptcy. It is a busy desk. Everyone that I met seems like good people. I am hoping it all works out.

Haven't ran - been really crazy at my house getting ready for all the people to come over and the fact that I have been away from the house temping on this job.

I am ready for football and turkey!!!!!!

Thank you all for the support.

Have a great Thanksgiving.

Morning All,

I'm celebrating my 44th birthday today, so no workouts. I've been done strength training since my 1/2 last Saturday.

Congrats Peg on the job. I've worked temp jobs before. I may have to again as my company is laying off. Supposed to know something on December 3rd. Merry Christmas, huh?

Ispence - for the foot pain. I've been trying to think of a way to describe it. First it feels as if the outside and inside edge of it goes numb, leaving the the part in the middle of those 2 areas with feeling. Very weird. If you drew a V shape on the bottom of my foot beginning underneath the big toe, down to my heel, and back to the pinky toe, that's the area that goes numb. Then the area underneath my toes starts to burn which then turns into an ache. At this point I don't know if it's a "mind" thing or what, but the whole bottom portion of my foot starts hurting. I stopped at m8 to loosen up my laces as I thought maybe my shoes were too tight. At that point all I could concentrate on was the pain, so I couldn't tell if that helped. I know with Chi Running you are supposed to land softly mostly on the fore foot (as if you're trying to not make any definite indentions in the sand). Maybe I've just got it all wrong. I would definitely like to do one of his camps, but with a DD in college, $$ needs to go to other things.

Does my description above make any sense?

Good morning everyone! I had an easy 30 min (2-1/2mi) run this morning. Temps were 33 and slight breeze. Yesterday afternoon for my 45 min run (4mi) it was 10 degrees warmer but it was drizzling.

Joe, happy running AND happy Turkey day!

runjr, great pace! You'll find me in your wake.
I'm not sure yet how cold. When I started the C25K program last February I remember a couple of nasty days around 30 with strong northwesterly winds, but I think most of the real crumby days I was teaching myself to hate the treadmill. But back then I was only running every other day. Now I'm running everyday, and I'm telling myself it's going to be outside no matter what.

spicegeek, that's great news! We have more than just Turkey to be thankful for!

Cara, good run, take it slow and easy starting again. Ya don't want to overdo it!

Chuck, sounds like some bad issues, but I agree with Alex, it's best to get them taken care of sooner. Great run!

noob, my knees have been feeling better, although today they are a little more 'stiff' going down the stairs again. Go figure I took it easier on my run this morning...
I tried running with my dog, Coal, he's a black lab and I spend more time tripping over him and having to stop while he takes care of his business that it turns into a big pain.

Slave, I bought some 'Stabelicers' I think they're called. I haven't used them yet, but supposedly they'll keep me from slipping. I may need them tomorrow as we're supposed to get some snow tonight. Too bad about the shoulder, that's why I won't run with my lab anymore. Great 3.5 miles though!

Peg, Happy Anniversary!

NC Sunshine, Happy Birthday! Hope you find help with the foot issue.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone, Good runs everyone, and Good rest for those that need it!

Hey everyone!

Peg, congrats on the job! That was fast - you are clearly very talented to get something so quickly. Sounds like a great opportunity!

I'm going to try to run an easy 2 tonight to see how the hip reacts. It feels great - and has for a few days so I think tonight's the night to check out how well it's healed.

Happy Thanksgiving to the Americans, and Happy Running to everyone else!!

I have to work tomorrow so I decided to have my own turkey trot- it's easy to come in first place when you are the only runner! I even PR'd- 3.2 miles in 39 min. And still no pain!
I have a job interview in 2 hrs so I will keep it short- not sure why they are interviewing the day before turkey day!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving all!

spicegeek, thanks for the input. Your workout really sounds intense. However, I really have no clue what most of it is and swiss ball crunches sound both strange and painful. lol

DD is home as of late this afternoon so she went to gym with me. She worked out on the elliptical and weights while I was on the treadmill. Did 5 miles on the treadmill so hopefully I have earned some turkey tomorrow and maybe even a small piece of pumpkin pie.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
