C25K Week 3

Good morning everyone. I didn't see this up yet so I started it.

My foot is still hurting but I think it will be fine by Tuesday. I'm worried about the intervals for this week but we shall see. I will be doing the program on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Hi all, I finished W2D3 on Sunday. It was suppose to be Saturday but my sinuses were acting up and I slept 5 hours during the day! I was amazed that Day 3 was so easy! I believe it was the easiest of all. I also ran, for the first time since starting this, on my treadmill. I did find that running on the treadmill I could keep up with my pace and distance easier. I am excited about starting W3D1 on Tuesday. My shins feel so much better now that I bought a new pair of shoes, it is like night and day.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and is ready to keep up and head into Week 3! Look forward to hearing from all.

I did it!!! W3D1 was easier than I thought it would be. I was freaking out about having to run for 3 min., but it wasn't bad. I purposely slowed my pace and was able to make it for 3 min. Then, the 3 min. walk seemed too long. Repeating the 90 sec. run now seemed so short, I didn't want to stop, but did because I want to follow the directions to the letter so I don't hurt myself. I am psyched for the rest of the week!

Hello All,
I did W3D1 this morning on the tread.
I have felt less than 100% the last few days due to cold-like stuff so I was expecting some difficulty.
Not so.
I felt great during the 3 min. runs and agree that when I came back around, the 90 sec runs seemed quick!
Like I said in the W2 thread, I am traveling this week so W3D2 & D3 will be road running. Curious what the differences will be.
Keep it going everyone!!

Hi All...I completed W3D1 today and it was great. As some others have mentioned I was pretty intimidated by the thought of the 3 minute runs but made it through them with great ease and felt that I could have kept going. My biggest challenge right now is the route that I run is an out and back and the out is slightly downhill so therefore the back is slightly uphill and I am usually doing the uphill towards the end of my run which I think is causing me to be more winded than I should. I think I'm going to have to look for a different running route to avoid this problem.

I started week 3 yesterday and while it was a mild challenge to keep going for 3 minutes it wasn't really hard.
Now that I know I can do it I expect the other days will go easily... I'm not sure if I'll be ready for week 4... but I had the same thought last week about week 3.
I think we are training our minds as much or more than we are training our bodies when we do this.

I just completed Week 3, Day 1. Okay everyone was right, the 3 minutes was definitely doable. I like the progression each week. Each week is a little bit more challenging but not so much so that you want to quit. I'm saying that now but lets see what I say Week 5 when you have to run for 20 minutes straight on Day 3. Well I will be able to complete this week and move on Week 4 based on today.

We are all surprising ourselves at what we can accomplish! Good job, everyone! Keep going, even through the holidays. We've come so far. Happy Thanksgiving.

Wow, everyone is doing such a great job! I completed W3D1 last night. I did it on the treadmill again and was surprised how easy the 3 mins for me was. I just wanted to keep running, and running and running! Tomorrow I will do my D2 outside as long as it stays nice but it is suppose to get cold. Well cold here in houston I know is not the same else where but I am whimpy! I really enjoyed the run last night and am finally feeling lost when it is not my day to run. I feel like I need to do something on my off days. I remember last week jtalley28 saying she felt this way during week two and now I know how you felt! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Keep up the great work. I will be back to posting on Monday.

HERE WE COME WEEK 4!!!!!!!

I am also starting Week 3 Day 1 after work today and am hopeful I can do the 3 miles based on what other folks are saying.
I am doing my first 5K this Saturday, but I plan to just do the Week 3 Day 2 training regime and then walk the remainder.
Have a great Thanksgiving!

I just finished Wk2D3 so starting on Week 3 on Friday. I haven't seen it yet but I hear there are 3 miutes runs? Christ. I will give it a go anyway. I thought W2D3 was tougher than the other 2 days I don't know why. Good support for everyone here - great stuff

I finished week 2 yesterday and will startweek 3 on Saturday and as I was before starting the other two weeks - I'm getting anxious. I'll read and reread this thread for some inspiration.
I love this site! Good luck to everyone.
