Hello everyone and THANK you for all of the good wishes and excitement!! I have been so excited today......first I couldn't fall asleep last night because I was so excited and then I couldn't focus at work all day because I was so excited!!

Unfortunately, I was in a meeting today from 2-5:30, which is when y'all had been posting. Sorry to keep you all hanging on the details!

HHF proposed to me at the local Christmas market last night. It was so beautiful and magical with the lights and the decorations and all of the positive holiday energy. We walked around and looked at several things, and then finally walked by my favorite jewelry store which is just on the other side of the Marktplatz. I was commenting on the pretty rings in the window when HHF dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! I was caught off guard and it was actually kind of a surreal moment. I mean, I knew it was coming at somepoint, but I didn't expect it to be last night. It's a gorgeous ring, he did a wonderful job. It's a solitaire, brilliant cut, white gold band and oh my goodness how it sparkles!!

So now the Christmas Market in our town will always be a special memory for us, no matter where in the world we end up living!

OH Monnier - I got goose bumps reading about your romantic engagement!! Jhi was wondering if he'd to it on Christmas, and I had told her that I didn't think he'd do it on a Major Holiday - he'd want it to be individual and special. AND it was!!! Can't wait to see a picture . . . .

Much love an Happiness to you both!!

~Mary

Oh that's a wonderful story Michele!! That is super romantic. Did he know he was going to do it there? Was he acting weird before or anything??? I think it's wonderful you're engaged. And I want to see a pic of that ring!!!!

Well, I decided to decorate the office today - haven't done that for 2 years I think. Couple of ugly fiber optic trees, fake snow flakes from the fire sprinklers, and a couple of wreaths. Now we just need some real poinsetta's.

Boss will be back tomorrow after 2 weeks!! It has been absolute heaven around here, no stress, just getting work done on an even keel. Tomorrow is either going to be absolutley awful - or it'll be okay and Monday will be awful. At least it is Friday tomorrow.

So, who puts up fake trees and who does real?

We are a real tree family. After all the grief and I mean grief I gave my sister when she bought a fake one, I don't think I'll ever dare go that route. Her's isn't that great though - you can get some that look really real.
