Katie, good to hear from you! What diet are you doing? I either missed it or forgot (most likely the latter!). Good luck with that and the cardio. Have they scheduled your surgery yet?
barb, you're doing great with your running! Hopefully your "problem" is starting to become accustomed to your activity and more predictable. And I LIKE football--but I guess not at the expense of my sleep. I dragged all day yesterday.
jb, I was pretty shocked with last week's loss myself, but I figure some of it is just normal fluctuation, I'll probably be up next week. I refuse to obsess about it. I'm eating better and exercising more; eventually it will pay off, right? Trust me, I still have a loooong way to go in the weight dept.
We got our first "sticking" snow last night, ~3", so I didn't even think about heading outside, but was able to get 30 min. of running (no stops, no walks!) in on the TM, which was the first time I've done that on a workday. My previous "continuous runs" have come on weekends, when I'm up for an hour or two before I hit the TM. So maybe I'm finally building up stamina or getting over a mental hurdle or something--anyway, it felt great! With the warm-up and cool-down, I was at exactly 3 miles--which is a little under where I'd need to be on a daily basis if I'm to make 100 miles this month, but I want to stick with that goal for now and up the mileage on my walking days... after all, I used to walk 120+ miles/month; it doesn't make sense to me that I should only be doing slightly over half of that since I added some running. Anyway--I'm with those of you who are planning on "wintering" on the TM. I figure I can build a base on it, and be ready for the outdoors whenever spring arrives.
Everyone have a good Wednesday!
