COKE

I always read about people who drink coke on there long runs, especially when they are training for ultras. The reason Im asking is my wife and I are leaving for switzerland soon and we are doing the Jungfrau Marathon and they give coke out on the course. Now this may be a stupid question but is the coke flast that they serve or is it watered down.
Thanks in advance
Robert

I doubt the stuff they hand out at the race will be watered down but it will probably be flat. Defizzed Coke was a popular way to get carbs during a run before the advent of gels. I usually have one after my long runs, but the carbonation might be troublesome during a run.
