I vote for local favorite Chase Daniel.

From the press release announcing his candidacy:

Daniel and the Tigers are currently 10-1 and ranked a program-best fourth in the latest BCS standings. Daniels is a major reason why the Tigers are one of the top teams in the land, as he ranks among the top-10 of NCAA statistical rankings in eight different categories, including six different top-five showings. Among those include touchdown passes (3rd - 30), total offense (4th - 349.27 ypg), pass completions (4th - 28.09 cpg), passing yards per game (5th - 326.36 ypg), completion percentage (5th - 69.3%), passing yards (5th - 3,590), points responsible for (7th - 18.36 ppg) and pass efficiency (9th - 155.06 rating).

Additionally, Daniel is directing a Tiger squad that has been as consistently good as any offense in the country in 2007, as MU is the only school in the nation to score at least 30 points in every game this year.

I just checked the public voting percentages (worth 5% of the decision), and he is up 58% over Tim Tebow's 37% and Dennis Dixon's 4%.

Especially being home in St. Louis over the holiday, I'm pumped to watch the Mizzou vs. KU game this weekend!

I think Tebow deserved it. He's a good player and by far the best quarterback around right now. I am curious to see if he gets the Heisman cause he's so young, but picking up two major awards so far, his chances are pretty good. Only thing going against him is his age.
