rotein. However, it'd be pretty awful for someone who's lactose intolerant, as would any dairy before a run. Since somewhere in the neighborhood of 75% of adult humans are lactose intolerant, I imagine that's where the "runner's worst enemy" rap comes from. People of Northern European ancenstry are apparently the least affected by lactose intolerance. And obviously someone who's made liquid dairy a major part of his/her diet since infancy would also be less susceptible (as Americans often do). I would personally be extremely unhappy to have dairy before or after a run.
