Last night i had Kraft Dinner

And it was delicious. This is the first time in - I don't know how many years.......maybe 15? My son is home from the hospital (he's 23) and my husband is away.......and i've been craving mac and cheese, but didn't have the time to make it........so, on the way home i picked up a package, made the whole thing for Ian and I, and we both ate it all.......it was so good. Funny thing tho, i drained it really well, but it didn't need any milk or butter.....just the cheese, ketchup and pepper.

This has liberated me........i may just try having french fries from McDonalds, or .........well, i don't know what else right now, but i'm open to suggestions.

Come on.........what would you really like to have that you just don't eat anymore because it has no nutritional value........and i'm not talking about sweets........

I love Kraft dinner. It was on sale last week and I bought two boxes. I'd go with the milk and cheese, personally, though.

What I found hilarious, when I was looking at the box, was their 'low fat' suggestion, which was basically 'use less butter. use less milk'. I imagine the enormous editorial/nutrition team that worked together to come up with that advice.

I also harbor secret desires for Kraft dinner! It must be the original tubal shaped macaroni- no corkscrews or freaking shapes. I cut the butter, add a splash of milk, and I eat the whole box myself, with a ton of pepper.
Nothing says Carb Loadin' like a box of Kraft dinner! Kraft only- none of the generics, either.

I actually hate fast food: fries, burgers, mac-n-cheese.

Something I do LOVE though is homemade cake (from scratch. best ingredients available). I usually have this twice a year when I make my son whatever kind of cake he likes for his birthday and my husband a chocolate german cake for his.

Amen!! My wife and I have it at least once a week, doing exactly that. Cut the butter in half, skim milk, and a lot of fresh ground pepper. Sometimes we'll mix in a 1/2 pound of lean ground beef, or I toss in a few light beef hotdogs.

I used to love it when my parents were going out on Saturday nights, 'cause my brother and I knew we were getting Mac and Cheese and hot dogs.

If I had a million dollars we wouldn't have to walk to the store
If I had a million dollars we'd take a limousine 'cause it costs more
If I had a million dollars we wouldn't have to eat Kraft dinner
"But we would eat Kraft dinner."
"Of course we would, we'd just eat more."
"And buy really expensive ketchups with it."
"That's right, all the fanciest Dijon ketchups."

Ahhhh! Vitamin K. I miss it. I only get to eat it when the wife isn't home because she can't stand the stuff. (She mustn't be a real Canajun).

For the Merkuns: Kraft Dinner is what you folks call "Mac and Cheese".

I always cut back on the amount of milk, otherwise it's just too runny.

Ambrosia!

thanks griz! i assumed, but was not sure

I like to mix all the ingredients (definitly less butter, always skim milk or soy milk) and then cook it a bit longer on the stove. Oh i am hungry, but stuck at work

Great thread!

My dirty little secret is I LOVE CORNDOGS! That golden breading ... sigh. Although I found some veggie corndogs (can't remember the brand) that taste just like the regular ones ... not that they're healthy but they at least don't have nitrates.

When I discovered the veggie corndogs, I bought a box and ate the whole thing over the course of a day. I'm not allowed to buy them anymore.
