Re: New Year Weight Challenge 20/20

Checking back in - down to 153 - slow and steady loss (read: SLOW).  I too notice wild fluctuations in my weight through the day - especially if I drink as much water as I should.

    Warning: Rant Alert

Why is it that you can be feeling healthy and great and strong and then jump on the scale and and then let a stupid number ruin your day - well maybe not RUIN your day, but bum you out. But the opposite is sometimes true - when you are feeling all big and yucky and you get on the scale and the number is less than you thought it would be and you feel great. What is up with this obsession with numbers?

    OK, moving on....

About halfway through the challenge and just about at the first level goal. I still have at least another 40 to lose in total. I feel much better than I did at the end of last year.

Re: New Year Weight Challenge 20/20

I honestly forgot to weigh in this morning.  So, for kicks I just weighed myself, just having eaten dinner and wearing my bed clothes I weighed 5 pounds heavier than last weeks weigh-in, if that counts for anything.

I only ran about 8 miles this week, typically I'm around 10 so ok with that. Next week I'm concentrating on Pushups and situps and running short fast loops (1-2 miles). Diet, no change (shooting for ~1700 calories a day), mostly soups.

I'm starting to get the feeling this will be a very lonely posting on the second half. I resolve two things now... not to stop posting, and second, not miss my goal of losing 20 pounds.

    Who's with me?

I stayed to my plan no more than 1400 calories a day and I ran a total of 52 km this week so was a little bummed out when I saw I was up this morning so I put on my running shoes headed out the door and went for my run did 10 km . by the time I got home the mood was much better and I will just keep trying . We have 2 weeks till are half marathon so one more long run to go on the week end ,we are going to run 22 km i know that is more than what we should do but I am going to just keep training and go for the full marathon .

Taco- We're still here with you, although there are definitely fewer people than on Jan 1!  Temps warming here in VT but the roads are 3" of mud (OK, that's my latest excuse!).  Holding steady at 153, I am feeling good though, so the healthy eating and running in the rain, cold and mud are helping, although the number is not dropping fast.

Very happy with my weight in this week down 3 lbs last week I was up 1.5 pounds . I up my calories this last week, some one told me that may be i was not eating enough for the  running i was doing . that may be that is why I was not seeing any weight come off . So I am going to try it again this week to change every  day how much I take in .
