M / 5'9" / 38 / 191.5(start) 192.0 (yesterday) / lost 3 lbs last week / +.5 lbs total

Last week I only ran 9 miles. My fitness test is this Friday, so I'm not changing my workout or diet. Have a 6k run on Sunday, will reassess after this week.

Liked your method of posting stats so I reposted when I had a moment. I realize I'm only going to have lost a few pounds, but quite a bit of bodyfat. The only near term goal I have now is to do well on this fitness test Friday and hopefully be down to 20% bodyfat.

I guess it's just down to us here at the end (4 weeks left). I have 14 May 2007 as the last day of the 20 week challenge. Thanks for sticking with me and sharing your experience and advice.

197, up 5 pounds.

I ran a 6k today in 29.5 minutes. I felt absolutely great. Maybe not as fast as ever, but certainly as strong.

Hi guys-
I am still lurking about, watching what I eat and trying to keep mileage up. I really think that although I am not anywhere near a 20# weight loss, the 8-10 I have lost and am keeping off represent more of a body change from increasing muscle and reducing fat. I feel stronger, my pants fit better and my DH has noticed a change.

So I am still here:

F/38/157/149/-8 or so

Checking in with this week's weight loss. I seem to be stuck in a rut at this 205-206lb level.

30-Apr-07: M / 6'2" / 33 / 222(start) 206(today) / +1lb last week / -16lbs total

196, lost 1 pound last week.

Since finishing my physical goals, I've lost almost all motivation. I'm looking for a new workout plan. Only a couple more months of this challange.

197.5, gained 1.5 pounds.

After finishing my train up for my fitness test and the 6K race, I took about a week off. I just started a few days ago on my next round of training. Essentially a circuit of 15 exercises, (Stability ball, and strength training (mostly dumbells), and reestablishing my base (~10 miles a week running). Going to stick with this a month or so, then begin the slow increase (10% each week) to prep for the Army 10miler tryouts at the end of the summer.

I think next week is the end. thanks for your support and encouragement, hope this helped you focus.

One more week to go... thanks for sticking in here, it's been great motivation!

07-May-07: M / 6'2" / 33 / 222(start) 204(today) / -2lbs last week / -18lbs total

I guess the big question is "can I lose that last 2lbs this week?". It's going to be tough because I'm running a 50 mile Rim to Rim to Rim in the Grand Canyon this Saturday, so the rest of my week will be tapering... probably only one or two other days of running. Plus all the food eaten on the road and carbo loading for the run. We'll see!

Good luck in the last week!

50 miles, Grand canyon... that must be an awesome run. Curious about the glass bridge, have you seen it yet?

Good luck on the run, don't worry about the weight, with your taper, carb loading and recovery Saturday night, your weight will be no matter. You made it, congratulations!

I'm just hoping to be close to 20% bf this Sunday and count that as the last reporting day. I appreciate your support.

Taco

This is it, I'm chaulking today up as the last 'official' checkin, week 20. So my end result was gaining a half pound over the last 20 weeks! I'm convinced that unless there is a radical change in a persons life (like living becoming a monk, or joining the cast of 'the biggest loser').

The only 'success' I find in this is that I didn't quit, even in failing to meet my primary objective (the pure weight loss). I did lose a lot of body fat, today 20.9%, so I'll be happy with that.

Thanks for sticking in here, it helped. Curious, how did the race go?

Hey Taco,

Very impressive job on the body fat % loss! That is a LOT of useless weight (fat) that was replaced with a LOT of very useful weight (muscle). Really really impressive!

I'm at 204lbs today, so no change from last week. 18lbs total in 20 weeks. Overall I'm pleased with that.

The run went well (it wasn't a race, just a few friends having "fun"). We did a 51 mile run/hike across the Grand Canyon and back in a day. Unfortunately the temp reached 113 degrees!!! That made for a very tough and slow day.

Anyway, nice job, thanks for sticking with it! I'm exactly 1/2 way to my goal, so looks like another 20 weeks or so on my own
