Me too! Not a real green dress, that's cruel!!!
Stop dissin on the Merkuns!

And yes, Kraft dinner is pretty much reserved for small children, poor college students (including myself in the day), and people with a strong case of food nostalgia. No need to get all high n mighty about being better than Kraft Dinner, I think most of us here eat pretty healthy most of the time, within the constraints of whatever budget or time limitations we have.

I even buy their container of powdered cheese and add 1/2 to a box. I consider it one of my junk food meals.

Interesting, when I lived in Germany I did my best to not each German It was in Bavaria where it seemed as if the meats were all super fatty and the veggies all came mixed with sauce and mayo.

But you are right, in the little town I lived in by the Swiss border we did have nice veggies and good local breads.

I just didn't feel that the food lifestyle there was all that much better than the one here. In both places I had to make personal choices to eat the ways that feel good to me.

My deepest apologies! I didn't know Canadian artists were that popular across the border. You guys heard of Chantal Kreviazuk, Amanda Marshall, The Tragically Hip, Crash Test Dummies or Blue Rodeo?

All except Amanda Marshall! I think Canadian artists are quite popular in the US! (I'm a big music buff, so maybe it's just me...but I know lots of people who know all the artists you mentioned!)

I've seen BNL several times in concert, as well as the Tragically Hip.

You should listen to Amanda Marshall, she's one of my favorites.

Who would want to eat Kraft Dinner when you have the opportunity to eat Käsespätzle? I used to work in Karlsruhe, and ate Käsespätzle almost every day, yummm!

For the really, really poor college student (me, back in the day)... with no money for the milk or butter... try just making the Kraft with water only.. egad! I remember it well.

Kraft mac and cheese was even too expensive for me. I always got the store brands which were cheaper. After I boiled the macaroni, I would use the water to make instant potatoes. After both were finished, I mixed them together for a delicious meal or two.

I always use the powder to make a "cheese sauce" and then mix it into the macaroni. Comes out much better than mixing it all together at the same time.

Exactly, if price is a concern, Kraft (or even cheaper, the generic store brand)

But if you want good tasting mac and cheese with all natural ingredients:

Annie's Homegrown Shells Whole Wheat & White Cheddar Organic
$2.29
6 ounce box
