So CS, what's on your plate for next year?

I planning on taking the rest of theyear completely off and letting my mental and physical batteries recharge.

Do you think you'll lose a lot in that time?

Sure, I'll lose a little and coming back will be tough, but I'll feel fresh and I'll have a new outolook on training.

Anthing you plan on working on for the rest of the off season?

I plan on doing a lot of speed work on the run. I used to be a decent runner but it has slipped away. I would like some of that speed back. I a going to try and get in about 300 miles/week on the bike with soe longer transition runs.

Why so much?

I tend to do better when my training is over 20 hours a week. Whne I slip below that I tend on going half butt on my training.

Dear Coach,

What on earth is your avatar supposed to be. It looks like a mini horse on my monitor. My aunt had boarded a mini horse at her farm this past summer. Mini horse is no longer at her farm. Mini horse bit off his owner's finger a month ago. Mini horse an I were good buddies. I miss mini horse.

Not a mini horse, a huge lizzard that visits my back yard. Well not so uch now that Bailey is free.

It's really weird. I have a tab in my browser that brings me to the home page. I go there, then I go tot he sign on page. It brings me to some odd page. I just click on the original broswer again and I'm signed on. 3 steps. I'm sure they will work that out.

Miss you guys! We finally have a nice sunny day here in Texas, but I'm still unmotivated. hmmmm......maybe I need a coach to kick me into gear!

It's the season to be unmotivated. Rest and recharge. At least that's what I'm calling it.

Hi!

They put weird random numbers in my name

I'm trying to figure out a goal for next year to focus my training a bit more. Do I just focus on outrigger (being that it's race season and all!), do I get over my fear of K1 paddling and go all out and try to make state team, or do I buy me a road bike (I really need a car though!) and do some tris/multisport events.

How did you guys put those funky photos next to your username? I'm playing around with this thing a bit - I still haven't found my training log yet. Oh well, I'll have some time in the next couple days to get that figured out! Any advice?

Best I can tell, you have to have been an Active member prior to the big transition thingy to change stuff in you profile, like adding a picture, or getting rid of the random numbers added to your name - that's supposed to become available to the rest of us on Monday.

As for the training log - haven't figured that bit out yet either - not sure if you have to register with Active Trainer separately, or if it's not setup for us yet or what the deal is. Anyone know?

Oh, wait. It tells you in the FAQ!!

Go to Active Trainer. Log in (don't create a new account).

It should tell you your account has been upgraded from coolrunning.

Click create account.

It will then ask you if you want to transfer your data from coolrunning into Active Trainer. It could take up to 24hrs for your data to transfer, but you can start using your new log straight away. Haven't figured out how the new one works yet, but at least we know how to get in now!!

And you can add an avatar but not change your username. Go to My Active, then click on the Account tab, then change avatar.

Well I guess we made it through. totally different. I'm glad to "see" tithers again. I enjoy reading your posts. So how many others got names changed? I"ve gone from andyb to trihard ( on the crms temp forum ) to andytrihard. I feel like prince.. er ah the artist formerly known as.... well you know. So I'm hearing a lot about lack of motivation. Some say "tis the season" others say just do it. I gots to say at 11 degrees, and snowing like a son of ... I'm finding it very difficult to want to do anything right now. But feel guilty that I"m not doing something. Any thoughts"?
