Ok, I will play too! I say this every single week and every single weekend I TOTALLY blow it on the weekend. But I am going to hit a milestone on my next b-day (yuk), :
This is a guess, I too am afraid of the scale. I will correct myself if need be later today. Hopefully this will help me.

Re: New Weight Loss challenge: Workin Towards Labor Day!
Me too ! I have been working on the same 5 pounds for 2.5 years ! I was a Figure Competitor for 6 years and when I "retired" I added 5 pounds and it will not go. So I need a group forum to get me motivated !

I upped my running the last two months and still have not lost ! So I am thinking I need to tighten up the diet. I certainly know what to do, now to kick my butt and do it !!

Stats:
AGE 46 !
Weight 129
Goal Weight 124

I would like to join as well. I usually weigh in on Fridays.

Age: 24
CW: 174
GW:154
Pounds to lose: 20

My ultimate goal is 145 and would also be happy with a 1 pound/week weight loss so losing 10 pounds. I have been working on these pounds for well over 4 years (College weight gain) and would rather not "crash" diet anymore and just lose if for good even if it takes longer.

I have been eating responsibly for the since Easter and have dropped 12 pounds. This sounds like a great kick in the motivation for me.

I am running a marathon on September 30th and I think 10 more pounds would help.

Re: New Weight Loss challenge: Workin Towards Labor Day!
So we have weight loss goals...does any one have a "game plan" ?

Since I already run daily and lift weights I know that increasing the training will not create much weight loss SO
I find I have to count calories to loss weight. So I got my digital food scales out. I have been quessing my calories for so long, so I am thinking that is why I maintain. I need to drop 500 cals a day until I lose.

Off to work out.

Re: New Weight Loss challenge: Workin Towards Labor Day!
Morning all.

So I maintained this week, 164, but that's okay. I've lost weight consistently since the end of March so I'll take it .

So...this weeks goal is to run 4 times this week ( I'm on wk5d1) and do my Pilates tape 2 times. Drink ALL my water needed ( I slack on this) and keeping to my nutritional needs for the day. I'm looking to kick butt on the scale next Saturday. I've signed up for my 1st 5K at the end of July, I'll be slow but I wanted a goal.

Happy trails to everyone.

Re: New Weight Loss challenge: Workin Towards Labor Day!
Are we going to post our weight on Saturdays? I was down two this morning. My goal is to not blow the weekends off, I will probably gain back the two pounds and then some. To not snack so much during my work week also.

Re: New Weight Loss challenge: Workin Towards Labor Day!
Down 2 pounds (Friday weigh-in day). Counting calories works best for me, especially when I am in training, then I'm more aware of what I eat. I want to run off a pound, not that bag of M & M's. Keeping a log of runs helps to keep in mind all the hard work.
