Marathon Training and Raw Food

Hi all --
Just curious if there are any other raw foodies out there training for a marathon? This will be my first marathon and I'm relatively new to raw foods so this is a whole new experience all around! =) I'd love to hear some tips and/or what other raw foodies that run high mileage are eating. I have been hungrier and hungrier and would love some new ideas.
Thanks so much!

I'm going to guess the trick is to get enough protein. Out of curiosity how do you get protein?? I'm a vegetarian and am having trouble getting enough of it from beans and tofu...

I absolutely love to eat sushi. I normally have it the evening after my long run. I never find that I am really hungry after it--the rice helps to fill me up. If you are worried from a protein standpoint, don't be. I am assuming by raw food you mean some type of meat/fish and not veggies...right?

As long as you are getting enough calories and refueling after your runs you should be fine. You can try a site like fitday.com to track how many calories you eat per day.
There is no way i could get enough to eat on a raw vegan diet. On a vegan or vegetarian (nonraw) diet i have no problem eating enough protein and carbs.
