I doubt reboot said whey is more likely to add fat than other proteins as that is contrary to the central point of all of his posts: all calories are equal in terms of weight loss. He probably did say that overprocessed protein sources are just as bad as overprocessed sugars and are "junk food." Why do you need to add a protein source to your breakfast? You can make a big bowl of oatmeal that contains 5-10 grams of protein and be done with it. Throw in a couple nuts if you want for a little more protein. Or, you could just cook your oatmeal in milk and add protein that way. If you're eating a varied diet otherwise, you probably don't need to supplement with protein.

This thread is a little bonkers.

Calories in - calories out is how you can control your weight. Could I eat 1500 calories that came from Taco Bell and still lose weight, probably. Would I have energy, I doubt it. Would I be satisfied? I doubt it.

Is whole wheat pasta better for you then refined? I think so. Can you eat it to your hearts content? No. A serving of pasta is the size of your fist, not your head. Moderation is the key to eating healthy and well. It's why Weight Watchers has been so successful over the years, you can eat what you want but not as much as you want.

Eating balanced, whole foods, in all the colors of the rainbow is a good goal, as is stopping before you get stuffed. Also, don't forget that the body can sometimes read thirst as hunger, so drink a glass before you take a bite.

Coffee- you are still a "member"-- when your status changes to "cool runner," you will quickly learn that most of the threads in carbo canteen are bonkers, especially when related to low carb discussions, or vegetarian ones.
