Re: FAQ thread
My question would be whether there's a place to set your default so that you *don't *receive email notifications on every thread you post it, rather than the other way around. I see that you can turn it off individually within the thread, but that's kind of a pain if you don't remember.

Re: FAQ thread

It would also be nice if they fixed the "Next" button at the bottom of the page.I get a "System Error" when I click "Next" but I can still navigate to the next pge of posts by clicking the number.

I've got a "report a bug" thingy at the bottom of my screen, I think I'l have to.

Mmm.... the Bug Report thingy seems to have a bug... it directs me to a blog which contains a link "Send Email", which directs me back to the same blog...

Re: FAQ thread

Here's a tip for readability: If you change the thread format to "Threaded" instead of "Flat", it indents replies relative to the post they are in response to, making it a bit easier to follow a long conversation.

Go to "My Active" at the top next to your user name,

Click "Edit Preferences" in the menu on the left

Change the drop-down menu above your time zone from "Flat" to "Threaded"

Click "Save Preferences"

Re: FAQ thread
Why are the old blue "Cool Running" links at the top of this frame still there? They seem out of place (and not to mention they probably don't link to anything)

Re: FAQ thread

For posting pictures:

When you are writing a
new post, click the icon that looks like a little Polaroid picture,
between the Chainlink and Letter A icons. It will bring up a window
that allows you to upload a picture; after uploading check the box for
"Insert as Thumbnail" at the bottom and click "Insert" to put the picture
directly into your post. You can also refer to a picture located elsewhere on the internet (such as a Flickr account or VillagePhotos) by clicking the "Web" tab, which will allow you to cut and paste the URL of the photo's location.

In your post, when others click on your thumbnail, the picture
opens in a nice wndow of its own over top of the discussion thread.
