Why all the whining?

It's not like we didn't know it was gonna change. It does have some cool features. You can post a picture without a host site, just download it right into the thread. Hyperlinks are super easy and if your on Firefox it isn't half bad to look at. Very busy in IE.

Re: Why all the whining?
Oh please, trading a free log for the ability to post a photo? Come on?? I want my data for the past two years. Active is another one of those huge corporate places like Match etc that are in it for the money-period. Charging to track shoe milage? Back to using excel spreadsheets. Active sucks

Re: Why all the whining?

I have been trying to post a picture as through the add attachment, but it is not working. What do I need to do. I get a general failure message when I try to view the attachment.

Re: Why all the whining?

I migrated my log data today, no problem. It had all my stuff in there all the way back to 2001, I think. (I stopped looking once I got as far back as 2003.) And it's free unless you want to upgrade for additional features. I haven't looked at everything, but there is still at least some kind of free log in here.

Did people even try to make this work?

Re: Why all the whining?
Why do people keep a log on a website that belongs to someone else? Wouldn't be safer to just keep it on your computer?

testing file attachment

It attaches, but can't view. I think they don't have a .jpg viewer set up for the site, so it's an unrecognized file type.

Re: Why all the whining?
I've migrated over (as if I had a choice) and I don't like it so far. I want all the stats that were easily available before - my total distances for whatever period I want, the distance on my shoes. I want to be able to easily enter a workout and to edit once it's entered. That one has me stymied. It seems that once I've entered something and saved it I can't change it. Also, when I run a 5k I still want to be able to see my pace in minutes per mile. The log automatically shows the pace in miles per kilometer.

Re: Why all the whining?

That works quote well. When you are writing a new post, click the icon that looks like a little Polaroid picture, between the Chainlink and Letter A icons. It will bring up a window that allows you to upload a picture; after uploading check the box for "Create Thumbnail" at the bottom and click "Insert" to put the picture directly into your post.

Then in your post, when others click on your thumbnail, the picture opens in a nice wndow of its own over top of the discussion thread.

My main objection is...the site is slow slow slow compared to CR.

How do l change my password without creating a new account?
