Upgrade ? in the business world if I did an upgrade like that, I'd be fired !

how can Active talk about an upgrade ?

my HR data ? gone

my shoes mileage ? gone

my weather conditions history ? gone

route ? locations ? gone

specific training (running, mountain bike, triathlon race, running race etc etc) ? gone : everything is now an easy run (Jay peak, 33 miles ultra = easy run !) or cycling

it's a shame, it's outrageous, it makes me balancing between very upset about 4 years of data lost, and rage torwards Active who's in the $$

which is millions miles away from Coolrunning's spirit.

I have been asking coolrunning again and again to extract my data (which I should have done instead of trusting Active) so I can import that

in the DB I just created on my iMac.

anyone else really annoyed out there ?

Phil, Cupertino,CA

I just logged into the active site to get my running log. WTF? All the info I though would be transferred is gone. And now I have to PAY to log shoe mileage? Wish I had printed out my coolrunning logs and just started something new. I am miserable with this new site.

Re: Upgrade ? in the business world if I did an upgrade like that, I'd be fired !
I work in software development for a large company and this "Upgrade" was not a very pleasant experience for me the "user" or in the case of Active.com a potential "customer". I can safely say that Active.com will not have to worry about having me as a customer, as I am so totally ****** off now I will go back to logging all my data with a pen and notebook before I use this site. Thank God I kept all my CoolRunning data logged in Excel on my own computer as well as in the Cool Running log. What a shame, another service that we all loved sells out to "Corporate".

In the business world, if you did an upgrade like that, your customers would be paying for it.

Thx for the tip phtimo!

I didn't know CR had an export feature with it's log - so, of course, I did not back my log up before the move to active.

I liked the CR log feature from day 1, can't say the same for active.

CR did a great job telling me about upcoming races and giving me data on past race race results. I hope that this is maintained in an easy to read format!

Not to be unkind in any way, but if you had six months notice that some big changes were taking place and you left vital data (like shoe mileage) not backed up then I think they woould be quite right in firing you.

There might be an opening in the Complaints Dept though. It seems they are hiring. :D

Well, we don't really know if the Complaint Dept is hiring, just that they have a lot of work! ;)

I've never lived through a seamless software migration in meat space and now I can say the same about the virtual world. WooHoo!

Does anyone know (have a link to) where you go to report a login snafu?

That's very odd. In the Transition thread in the CH, there was so much uproar about paying for shoe logging that Active did an about face on it and said they'd make it free. They should be held to this.

The relevant thread is here: http://www.coolrunning.com/forums/Forum39/HTML/000013.shtml

Two things that I miss: (a) Reply With Quote; (b) being able to go to the last page of a thread from the front page.
