How to log back into Cool Running

I think I found it!

*http://www.coolrunning.com/cgi-bin/log/display.cgi?u={color:#ff0000}<YourUserName>i;p=<YourPassword>*{color}

Notice that the link is slightly different than the one for getting to the shared public log. To log back in, the password parameter is a "p". This will log you back into Cool Running in the old familiar way.

You can use this if you did not share your log and you did not back it up. You may want to go back in right now and quick do a Tools/Download Your Running Log right now.

Naturally I could only test with my username and password. Please post back here whether or not it worked for you.

I still don't get it. I am pretty computer illiterate. Can you make this very, very easy and clear for me? Thanks!

Dear Papa,

If you are a drinking man, I owe you at least a 6 pack!!!! This is excellent. I was able to get back into my log, download it, convert it to Excel, and all is well with the world again!! Now at least I have my data and I can figure out where to go next. U R THE MAN.

Best regards,

Joe :D :) :^0 B-)

Unfortunately this isn't working for me. I made sure I was using the right username and password and I get, "The member name and password combination you entered is incorrect. Please click your browser's Back button to try again." everytime. UGH. Like everyone else here, I think all my data is gone.

I think I saved a copy of my running log at work , but I'm not positive and I'm paranoid that everything is gone. So far it looks like only some of my workouts were logged...too bad I know that I did more than 5 minutes on treadmill, so where'd all my other information go?!

I've tried that a couple times using my username and private password (I never shared my log), and it says, "The member name and password combination you entered is incorrect. Please click your browser's Back button to try again."

I know I'm using the right username/password combination - so I don't understand why it's not working.

I just hope I have a copy saved on my work computer!

Thank you, thank you. Like joescott said, all is right with the world now. I downloaded my log into Excel and it is now safe. Now, I'll search around for a good replacement...this site definitely doesn't do the job efficiently and elegantly, the way the coolrunning log did.

Diffraction: make sure you're using exact password text, with any capitalization intact. Also, don't input the arrow signs around your username and password.

How long do you think they'll leave the old logs on the server? I assume they will eventually disappear.

Just another data point, I'm also getting the "username and password incorrect" message. Never shared my log.

Could someone new, who has not yet accessed this loophole please report back?? Is it possible that CR has closed this loophole within the last few hours??

I was finally able to get back into my cool running log this morning. Yesterday night it wasn't working at all and I was using my correct username and private password, I didn't have caps on or anything.

I did imput all my data into Active's log yesterday night - so I dont' know if it has to go through Active first, then it becomes accessible on cool running again.

Just keep trying and it does eventually work! I just accessed my log, so it's still working.

Also, I just tried accessing my cool running log through Internet Explorer and it DID NOT work. I literally copy and pasted the address from Firefox, where it worked just fine, and it would not come up in Internet Expolorer. I don't know if that might be an issue for some people...
