Where do you chafe most & how do you stop it?

Last weekend I ran for 5 hours and noted all the places that chafing was the worst. Of course, the nipples were bad but the side where my arms rub was the worst. This inspired a blog post (http://justyouraveragejoggler.com/the-9-spots-you-must-treat-to-stop-chafing/) but I'll just list the top places 9 places for chafing. Are there any that were missed?

1. Inner thighs
2. Nipples
3. Armpits
4. Waist
5. Neck/Collar
6. Birthmarks
7. Ankles
8. Equipment straps
9. Butt Crack

I find Spandex and Body Glide work wonders.

I rarely run for more than 4 hours at a time and my only hot spots are 1, 2 and 3.
Cramer's skin lube

Neck/collar:

The only spot where I chafe is at the back of my neck, where my Camelbak rubs against one of the vertebrae. Ouch!

I am planning to get some bodyglide next time.

Armpits........shaved them.
Crotch (is that inner-thighs?)..........deal with it.
Hip bones (from straps)......leuko-tape.

None that I can think of... here's where it affects me:
1) Inner thighs (vasoline & compression shorts)
2) Butt crack (vasoline & compression shorts)
3) Under my armpits (happens rarely so I don't bother)

On my long run last Friday I forgot both the vasoline and compression shorts. My butt crack was so chapped it wasn't even funny. A piece of advice, keep baby wipes w/ alchohol, hot water, and preparation-h away from chaffing areas. My *** was on fire! That was the worst pain I've felt in a long time.

I'm a nipple/inner thigh guy myself.

That was a lot funnier than just saying #1 and #2. A little tape over nipples and some body glide on the inside of the thighs and I'm good to go.

My HRM strap gets me sometimes, too.

Most of the above.

Add waistline in lowerback due to loose shorts weighed down by gel bottle or packs on RaceReady shorts.

gah....it seems like the more humid it is, the more i chafe. i almost even have some scarring from where a gel bottle chafed my waist. i have just started using body glide under my jog bra, waistband, inner thighs, on the outside of my underarms.

inner thigh and everywhere my jog bra edges touch me. Body Glide. I also use BG on my heels and toes to make my feet feel better.

sports bra - use BG and i tuck my shirt sleeves under the straps. i can deal with that but the worst is under "the girls". i have nasty red marks there, and even BG doesn't do the trick. during my long run this past weekend i put a sock there to eliminate rubbing. it actually helped but it looked a little funny.

Monistat makes a good anti-chafing product called Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel..it is easy to apply and dries like a gel so it's not messy and it works a lot better than vasoline. I've been using it for a few months and it works great for me.
