Hey Guys... finally found you! Tried logging on this morning and it's seriously taken me 30 mins to get it! My network in the office is bad, but everything else was working so I'm pretty sure it was Active with the problem... not a good start for me! :(

The good news is that I pretty much managed to keep myself on track running 3.5 Thurs evening (made myself go out at 21:15 so as not to miss it) and then did my LSD yesterday - 7.35 miles in 1:20. Was supposed to run it on Sat, but ended up doing it Sun morning instead.

Just got to find my running log now to enter them!

Hope you're all well - will post more later,

Cara

Man am I struggling with navigation!!!! I think i've had to log in about 7 times now where I keep try to find things and it doesn't remember me! Really annoying!

I've requested my running log to be transferred so will let you know how it goes!

I have to say though i'm a little annoyed at how US biased this site is! I can't enter details on my training site as I don't have a ZIP code / state! and I can't enter my race results as they're not in the US...

Still - at least i've found you guys so have people to chat to! When you all wake up that is!!!

Hello everyone! Well I finally made the 'transition'. I think I can always get to this group by adding to my browser's favorites. It's worked a couple times anyway...

I'm glad to see everyone was able to keep up with their running this weekend, even if we couldn't 'shout' about it. :^0

I got everything in as well, 35 min on Friday, 30 on Saturday, 75 min on Sunday, 30min this morning. All real easy pace except 15 min on the end of Sunday where I upped my tempo. Wow that felt good to 'let it out' for 15 minutes.

I'm sorry to hear about the weather in the south turning colder. Welcome to the refrigerator. Up here in Wisconsin, it's supposed to warm UP to the 30's this week.

Good luck to everyone with their runs today. To those struggling to transition, I'm sending you some 'brain-waves' to help you find us.;) I love these smiley faces, don't you?

Kevin

Good Monday Morning to All!

I was too snuggly in bed this a.m. to get up and run - besides, think I need to get a bit more realistic about how much sleep I require - didn't go to bed until 11pm & set my alarm for 5am - was already a bit sleep deprived from the weekend, so it didn't happen! Rescheduled my 5M for tomorrow - will go to bed ealier tonight!

Good to hear from you again, KEVIN! Sounds like you've gotten in some great runs - FABULOUS!

Hey IMOGENE - check out the FAQ on the former coolrunning site home page & will give you more specifics about finding your training log & transitioning to the new log.

CARA - hi there! Good to hear from you again too! How was your week without us? Did you do anything fun?? You should definitely register a complaint with the new "powers that be" about the bias toward the US - that's pretty silly! Isn't this the "WORLD WIDE WEB" afterall? ?:|

Off to work! Yes, JOE, I'm bundled up!

Laurel

Morning peeps!!!!

On the 'cold' subject... It was really icy when I walked to the station this morning, temp is about -2C but don't know what that is in Fh. Any tips on how to run on the ice tonight? Other than 'carefully'! I've got about 3 or 3.5 to do but it's getting slippy out there. I have no TM or gym as a fall back so have to get out there... also I will be running in the dark on pavements (sidewalks) so can't really avoid the ice.

Oh - and I have to admit I love the new smileys too!!! :p :D

Joe - how on earth did you manage 17 posts already!?!

Hey Laurel!

I had a really lovely weekend - although I really missed being able to chat to you guys about running. Everyone else is getting bored of me :(

I moved house a couple of months back, and we kept in touch with the people who bought our place. They invited us over Friday for drinks - it was really wierd but also lovely - and she's a runner which always helps.... only thing is my recent 10K success doesn't sound so good when she starts telling me about her entry for the Comrades Ultra!!! Saturday was finishing off the shopping (Christmas stuff and also we needed a new vacuum cleaner as ours broke a couple of days back) and then Sunday afternoon we had people round to ours for yet more food and drink! I'm glad it's a while until my HM!

Oh - forgot to say that I got my official 10K time through and it was 60:08 - 8 seconds out! Although I think at least half of that was trying to get through the start line though ;) !

Morning All. Not sure how I got here, but made it.

Sounds like everyone was a lot better at running that I was over the weekend. Worked from home on Friday. Cleaned the inside of the house and then went outside to take care of the leaves. DH had to work later on Friday and wouldn't be home in time to get them up before the rains came. Thought I would surprise him. Used an older blower for it and it was a bear to use. Got a great shoulder workout though.

Not sure how much running I"m going to get in this week. I'm only working 3 days this week and they will be busy ones. My company is shut down the week between Christmas and New Year's, so we have lots to get done before all the systems start shutting down. I am planning on running most days while I'm on break as it will be easier when I'm home.

Not sure I like this new site. Tried updating my profile and it kept telling me there was an error, but it never would say what the error was. I'm not the brightest bulb in the bunch when it comes to computers, so maybe I'll figure it out.

Happy Monday, ya'll!

good morning all. It looks like the HM group is getting closer to full strength. Last week was a good run week in winter weather almost all week. Logged in 37 miles for the week and even ran in the snow with DW on Saturday. This week looks better weather wise, but if the family and I can run in this weather we will make it all winter. The challenge of getting out there and it actually has been fun.

cara: I agree if other friends and family members don't run they don't understand our passion for the sport.

Joe: you have this website already figured out, simply put, that is why you are Joe cool.

Kevee: I'm excited as well for the warmer temps. We really need the paths and roads to melt off some of the buildup of snow.

deez4boyz: welcome

Since everyone must have their Christmas plans in place, is anyone running any races over the holidays???

Take care, hope for 6 miles tonight.

Sorry for posting so much today, but has anyone else looked at their running log?!?

I HATE IT!!!!

Really awkward to log, slow, you have to enter your plan then go in again to complete it! The week now starts on Sunday which does not match my schedule, and I can't see my weekly, monthly, yearly totals either!

I took a download of my log last week before the switchover, so think I might just start logging on my own excel file.

Anyway - moan over! Back to work (or the little that I appear to be doing today ;) )

Hello all! Glad to catch up with everyone who's found their way here. Maybe I will even be able to find my way back some day lol. My log is supposedly migrating, so I haven't seen what it looks like yet. I'm glad I downloaded it to Excel before the migration started.

I managed 5 mi on the TM Saturday, though probably walked nearly half. Yesterday was a 3-mi walk, and today I ran a miserable mile on too little sleep and too many sugar-carbs. I will probably spend the rest of the month trying to tame that combination!

We're down to single digit wind chills with nearly a foot of new snow. Roads were pretty messy getting in to work this morning. I hope it improves before all the holiday traveling really starts!

Everyone have a good Monday.
