Re: Music to run to
When working out, I listen to music only in the gym or on a trainer. And I only use good headphones (the noise cancellation type).

I like classical music, the Beatles, and Maffetone's music.

If you're curious, the 175 BPM Podrunner mix "Inferno Express" opens with -- believe it or not -- a remix of "Fanfare for the Common Man." I think it's pretty good, actually!

Re: Music to run to
For regular running I have a large mix of music from Blondie to 50 cent. My muic is just lightly playing in the background.

For my fast runs - Metallica good and loud.

Re: Music to run to
I don't run with music very often but when I do my tastes lean toward Gregolowe's choices. When I walked on the treadmill and did weights music was a must. I tend to put an album on and let it play rather than skip around on random or creating a playlist. A few of my standards are:
Slayer ~ Reign in Blood
Bollweevils ~ Heavyweight
Bad Brains ~ S/T
Megadeth ~ Rust in Peace
Hot Water Music ~ Forever and Counting
Hot Water Music/Leatherface ~ BYO Split
Crotchduster ~ Big Fat Box of Sh*t
Descendents ~ Two Things at Once
Lagwagon ~ Hoss
Misfits ~ Collections I & II
NOFX ~ Ribbed
Further Seems Forever ~ The Moon Is Down

I have over 60 songs in my ipod, but i'm looking for more. Pls share your favorite songs to run to.

Some of my "I like the beat and can run to it" are:

Footloose - Kenny Loggins
September - Earth, Wind and Fire
Reach - Gloria Estefan (this one is slow, but inspirational)
Dreams, Right Now - both by Van Halen
Boogie Shoes - KC & the Sunshire Band
Mr. Brightside - The Killers
Don't Stop til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson
Lose Yourself - Eminem
This is the Day - The The
<HR>

The only thing I could do with that list is run the **** away from the Ipod. You even picked the crappy Van Halen songs. AWFUL.

Sorry. That list is indefensible. I'd rather listen to "Crotchduster ~ Big Fat Box of Sh*t" (are you kidding me?) in a locked room over and over and over. In fact, I can't believe any of you people really listen to those songs. Film music? C'mon now. I might have to join the Ipod-haters club.
