My clothes used to stink and nothing would get the smell out until I used Penguin Sport-Wash. Now that's all I use. They indicate the problem is mainly with using normal degergent on the tech fibers. It tends to clog the wicking pours and cause them to hold in the funky smell. Anyway use the sports wash it works. If you have a high efficiency washer they told me to just use half a cap full of the detergent.

I also use the Penguin Wash now and my clothes haven't stunk since.

The problem is caused by bacteria that lives on the synthetic fibers. Washing the clothes in soap and then vinegar then exposing it to sunlight for a couple of hours should kill off most of the bacterial colonies.
