cgraz, do you work for active.com?

Just curious because you are so ardently defending the changes. :p

Re: cgraz, do you work for active.com?

:D

Ardently? I don't know about that. I'm just advocating being open to checking it out. Plus, at least half of what I see people complaining about isn't even true. Lots of ******** about features that are actually here, just in different forms. That's the stuff that then takes on a life of its own and gets everyone on the bandwagon, when in some cases there isn't even a valid complaint, just stuff that people haven't figured out yet because they saw someone else complain about it, so they flipped out too.

Granted, the log issues do seem to suck for a variety of reasons, but CR was a free website and there was lots of warning this was coming. If the log is that important, find one that you can keep on your own computer and pay for it. Any time there's any kind of conversion (especially one that you don't have control over), backing up your data is a wise thing to do. If people thought it would still be the same in terms of features and function, they were kidding themselves. Active is a bigger, clunkier website because it's trying to be everything to everyone.

Not going to be the same, but it's not the devil, either.

If there ever was a time to CTFU, this is *IT*! B-)

I think that cgraz has been very rational and has the right attitude.

I meant to ask this in the old CH...what does the "C" in CTFU stand for?

I agree. In my previous life as a corporate-IT drone I've been through a lot of upgrades (as a perpetrator) and this is no different - people whining and complaining that it's new, it's different, it doesn't look the same, where's my binky, whaaaa when they were told way in advance - via email and FAQ and big honkin' screamin' annoyin' flashing lights - that this was going to happen, how it would happen, and where they could go to learn how the new stuff was going to work. But it's much easier to whine than it is to actually look something up.

And the typical reaction to anyone not-whining is to accuse them of being One Of Them.

I know I might be shot or shunned for this, but so far I kinda like this format. It's a bit too white and a bit too wide at the moment, but overall I think it's not going to take very long to get used to it.

Don't worry though, I have lots of ship to witch about....loke learning a new vocab. :)

And it's not like coolrunnings's "Blue and Yellow: A Tribute to St. Louis Ram's" motif is a beauty to behold or anything.

I miss my CR log....neglected to save diddly squat, and have lost EVERYTHING in the transfer.

WTPJ, you can still save it, I think.

Go to http://www.coolrunning.com/cgi-bin/log/display.cgi?u=wherestheportojohn and under "Tools" (one of the blue buttons on the top left), you can download it to Excel.

Re: cgraz, do you work for active.com?

It's so darn slow!!

Visually, I think it's worse than the CH, but certainly better (less cluttered, cleaner looking) than kickrunners.
