Running without insoles??

Anyone see a problem with running without insoles? I get really irritated when they move around when I'm running so I just took them out. I don't know if they're supposed to do much of anything other than make your shoes a bit more comfortable. Anybody know much about this? If they are supposed to be there how can I stop them from moving? I was thinking some type of glue.

Why are they moving around ? That never happens to me. My running shoe would be pretty uncomfortable without insoles; the bottom of the shoes are pretty hard.

Re: Running without insoles??
with as cheap as some brands are making them, might as well not use them. they really offer no cushion and only serve as sweat absorbers. i always replace my insoles with superfeet or the like. as far as them moving around in the shoe, they are supposed to, a little. i dont know if i could run without an insole though that would rub my feet raw. but if it works for you... go for it.

I run in racing flats (adizero seies, on my 3rd pair now) and they don't really have insoles. But I found the insoles a little irritating too at times.
