Heart Rate Out of Control in the Morning

When I run after work, my heart rate is fine, but on my long runs in the morning, its just totally out of control and I need to run way slower to keep HR under MAF. Any ideas why this is and what I can do to correct this? Its ridiculous that I have to slow down 0:45-1:00 per mile to stay under MAF when I run in the morning, especially when these are my longest runs. I understand that my HR will increase as I get further into my runs, but I am seeing this right away. Literally, 10 slow steps into my run today and I was at MAF. What gives?

Sounds like a potential case of over-training during the week...if you're running at night, going to bed, then running in the morning maybe you're not recovered from the night before. I'm no expert, but either cutting out the run at night or doing like cross-training may help. I also curious to see what others think...

Do you have coffee before your morning run? When you run in the evening, do you still have your morning coffee? Can you see where I'm going with this?
Are you adding a second run on some days or just scheduling your weekend long runs for the morning to get them out of the way?

It's likely hydration, or rather lack thereof. I've been there before, and so has my wife. In fact, I did it earlier this week one day. I could tell when walking that my HR was 10 beats than normal...it continued of course during the run. I hate not being hydrated...

Be sure to stay hydrated at night. If you have an alcoholic drink or two, then make absolutely certain you are drinking extra water.

When I get up in the morning, I try to drink 20 to 30 ounces before I run. I weigh 190 pounds (as a reference). My wife usually drinks about 10 to 15 ounces before we head out. Also, if I get up during the night to pee (which is a good sign for me usually) then I drink about 6 ounces at that time as well.
